I really don’t get this crisis of masculinity. I just don’t.
You can join the Army or become a paramedic or live in the woods. You can wear camo. You can go hunting or fishing. You can be a little rowdy. I’ve done all these things.
Just don’t be a dick.

I think a lot of it is that they hear a lot that there's a crisis of masculinity, and so there must be. Then if they go looking for it they find a very particular pitch.
And many of them are convinced they’re oppressed.
It’s worthwhile for someone to tell them these lies.
WHINY DOUCHEBAGS
And you clearly are not one.
As a woman, I wish to thank you for that, from the bottom of my heart.
That’s all.
Applaud them and worship them just because they are men. When really they are fucking children constantly seeking validation that they are the best. JFC they’re needy.
The crisis is that men have been sold a bill of goods on violence and cruelty as “masculinity” and they’re all finding no bank accepts their currency.
They want TO WANT to do that stuff. But it requires work and vulnerability to pursue it. That's hard. So instead, they'll PRETEND they're the kind of guys who WOULD do that stuff so you don't know they're too scared to do it.
Just saying.
Watch some porn and see for yourself.
Bravo, or boo-yah, or whatever.
Some come to terms with this early on, many don't.
I also think it is responsible for all the fear of crime despite crime being lower than in the past.
Including women much smarter and better looking then they are, but who will shut up and do what he wants.
You are right….don't be a dick.
Just let people BE.
Normal guys doing normal guy things aren't having this issue.
Unfortunately there's now a cottage industry of mysoginist hate pushing men away from growing out of that
Those are problems, but that doesn’t mean be a dick
They blame their lack of agency on others, a privilege reserved here for Christian, white males.
Poor little things.
It is really that simple.
As Sara Bareilles says in the song “Armor” :
“Only the little boys tell you they're a big man.”
Real men aren't insecure about their masculinity OR sexuality, and don't need to put down women & the LGBTQ+ community.
This seems like that.

Masculinity isn't defined by "man" jobs but rather by the choice to be a good human being willing to grant grace and peace to all.
