So why did you specify that Chinese cars are a risk when the same risk is objectively greater from American cars?
comment in response to post
Ah yes because the American companies that simply admit to spying on us and selling all our data to the government (you know, the American government, the one that actually can and wants to harm us) are so so much better

as you should

if your memory is big enough to remember 2 numbers celsius has no advantages at all

"I would like temperature measurements that are less precise and also still completely fucking useless in a scientific mathematical setting and have only the single advantage of being slightly easier to remember the freezing and boiling points of one singular substance" yeah okay whatever bro

Yeah, but opening the page again on the same device fixed it so this was definitely just a weird bug on my end. To be clear I like the web interface on desktop and I do prefer that over the mobile app.

Oh weird, when I was using the website earlier those buttons didn't load, probably just a one off bug or networking issue. That solves that I guess. Still annoying to not be able to swipe between feeds though

Bluesky on a mobile browser is okay in terms of how it feels except that I can't reach literally any of the buttons to switch feeds or go to notifications etc w/ one hand on a smartphone. The app has most of the buttons at the bottom as God intended and the ones at the top can be avoided by swiping

Dinosaurs have been gone for millions of years and people still know what those are. Zoomers know what a draft is. Contrary to popular belief we did, like, go to school and stuff

Trans women and girls: she is trying to make you too afraid to live a happy life. It's intentional intimidation. Don't let it work. Continue to live your life as you always have as best as you can. I will be. Just be ready to stand and support whichever poor women, trans or cis, she targets

Don't start pushing people's buttons intentionally and be surprised when they get mad at you

Cops are bad people but they're people like everyone else and at the end of the day what most people want is to not have to do that much work when they're, well, at work

This is common at marches that amount to no more than parades. Police often don't want to escalate especially in this case where they have very little vested interest in the issue at hand. If the protesters get to do their march and go home the police are not threatened.

What is the goal of this? Like, I can imagine only a couple very specific cases where this would be useful in any way and if someone was planning to do those things they sure as shit wouldn't be talking about it publicly.

The anarchist is always expected to have the solution to every contingency while the authoritarians ideas are accepted without question despite being no different from what we already know for sure doesn't work

Can I assume you've never worked a customer facing job in your life ever? Because if so, shut the fuck up.
comment in response to post
I'm not complaining about prices to customers but if customers want to bitch at me about it I'm going to bitch at them back because it's rude and idiotic to hold me personally responsible for something I have essentially no control over. Just because I work for the company doesn't mean I control it.

I generally agree that apps are bad for these reasons but they do have the extremely substantial positive of often having a ux that doesn't feel like clunky, slow dogshit, something I have never seen on a mobile website pretty much ever in my life

The claim that ice is doing this specific thing is also a positive claim and I don't believe that you don't understand that I think you're being intentionally obtuse bc someone dared to ask ur favorite niche internet micro celebrity where he got his info from rather than take his word as gospel
comment in response to post
Also it's not actually disrespectful to ask you to post a source when you write a whole thread about how a piece of information is publicly available and then just repeatedly refuse to say where it's available.

If it's not about gloating why in God's name are you spending the energy to argue with people which accomplishes nothing except making you feel superior instead of just posting a link to the contract so more people can learn about what's going on?
comment in response to post
I mean it's still a popular game and if you want a BR you can just kinda fuck around in without trying too hard it's pretty enjoyable imo
comment in response to post
If he's right (and he may well be) would it kill him to post the sources he claims to have rather than just gloat about knowing things others don't?

Surely we're all old enough to know the difference between a negative claim and a positive one?
