I was there, stood a few yards away from where that shot was taken. Shame Flav didn’t make it, but awesome set!

Got this when it came out, had an advent calendar sleeve. I’ll have to dig it out and have a listen.

😂😂 got a proposal - you finish the discos, I’ll finish the McCoys and we swap the tangy bits in the bottom of the bag!

Nooo! S&V McCoys are the mutts nuts. But got to be a grab bag, multipack ones just don’t have the same bite.

First, as in first album was better…

Good shout, that kind of summed up the night for me. By rights I shouldn’t have seen them as they’d finished touring so long ago - I did feel like I’d cheated the system a bit, like watching a video of a concert and saying you’d been there. But they do have some great pop songs!

Always wondered what the deal was with Kloot and felt a little too personal to ask at a gig. Great interview, cheers!

What did you make of ABBA? Went a couple of weeks ago, there’s no doubt they did great pop music and it was an impressive spectacle, but couldn’t quite get my head round people cheering a massive video screen. I guess it does lead the way for the likes of Hendrix and Nirvana to come back!

I’m sure there’s a Beatles song in this somewhere…

🤣🤣 This could get confusing - we as in us, not we as in them. Hope that’s cleared it up.

Mix it with a good spiced rum, and maybe a drop of lime cordial. Bliss.

But ginger beer’s better- more of a bite to it! 😬

Give us a follow Flav, would make my day!
comment in response to post
Can you start tagging these bands if they’re on here so we can give them a follow?

Cool! We had Paul Oakenfold and Stereo MC’s, I guess more for the UK audience. But the huge screens, big heads, Bono’s alter ego’s was a brilliant show. Apparently Roundhay was the biggest paying crowd they’d played to in the UK at the time.

Best show was U2 Zoo TV at Roundhay park 93. But for me best gigs are the intimate ones, John Bramwell playing to less than 50 folks, interacting with each individual like you’re round at his house listening to him jam.

First (proper) - U2 at Roundhay park 93 Last - John Bramwell Wroot Rocks August 24 Next - nowt yet, open to suggestions!
