On the one hand, every one should have the right to say stupid shit, because first amendment and all that, but also, posting shit this stupid should be criminal. “Just 30 minutes a day …” is the same energy as “walk your way to six pack abs.”

Sometimes the story’s finished, but it still needs work. Your idea is grand but your early execution sucks. That’s fine. Push it farther. Tear it apart, keep what works, strip out what doesn’t, and then push it farther. Eventually you’ll arrive at the precipice. Just keep going. 4/4

This cover is coming along in similar fashion. I created an early version of it, and while I didn’t hate it, I knew it wasn’t the one. So I pushed it out, driving the idea farther and farther. I think I finally settled on a version I love. 3/4

When I returned to it late last month, I completely rewrote it, then sent it out to my colleagues for editing. When those edits returned, I did another round of rewriting, pushing the story farther, deeper. 2/4

Whoa. Synergy. The “bounded endeavors” concept is great. I wrote this yesterday. A different bent, but same base consideration: blog.ephemeralrogue.xyz/do-things-fo...

And so, on this Valentine’s Day, I want you to remember that you don’t have to limit your expression of love to one holiday, that you should be doing it at every opportunity that presents itself. Fuck Valentine’s Day. Love matters all the time. Go celebrate it everyday. 6/6

I love my partner, and I love her year round, and I tell her and I show her. This is something we do however and whenever we desire. And we do it a lot. 5/6

Sure, we could have bought gluten-free sourdough. But that’s not the point. For someone who values cooking as highly as she does, this was a labor of love I knew she would recognize and appreciate. Money isn’t the end all. 4/6

I don’t have allergens to specific foods, so I can only imagine how much it must suck to be able to enjoy a thing one day, and then no longer be able to enjoy that thing. I didn’t want that for my partner, so I did what I could. 3/6

Turns out, even the sourdough proved to be too much. It was unfortunate, but not the end of the world. I started doing a little digging and discovered I could bake gluten-free bread sourdough from scratch, right at home. So I fuckin’ started learning how make gluten-free sourdough bread. 2/6
