Worth noting Trump added a 20% tariff on China prior to April 2 The exemption on smartphones, GPUs, computer parts etc. is for the additional 125% reciprocal tariffs on China This means there is still a 20% tariff on these imports, and that cost (although much lower) will still be passed on to you
