Hello you. Am fine thanks. Had a busy summer so not been here at all. Now that the light and warmth have faded, I'veca bit more time. How are you keeping?

I may be going, but have too much month left at the end of my money! Last visit I bought a sheepskin seat pad, a ring and a pendant. Fabulous makers, and Carolyn is a good friend, and very talented too.

Not been to Porto before. Been on my list for ages, so plunged in. Meant to be lovely. Been such a miserable wet winter, couples with bi-polar doldrums, so treating myself

Pilates, Yoga, Contemporary dance. 4x classes a day, plus other stuff (massage, wellness/mindfulness workshops). A 21st century (non hippy) retreat. 4-day detox with no daytime food 😬

Am en route to Porto for 4 days of intensive exercise, followed by 4 days of rest!

Especially on a day like today. That said, last evenings sunset was spectacular, and there was an Aurora alert. Sadly didn't see it here as some cloud cover

Bob Mortimer's Satsuma Complex. Touching and hilariously surreal, as only he can be.

I was thinking more Battersea Dogs' Home for rescues, not EEuropean dog farms. I'm probably way behind the dog times

Yes absolutely

Horses are ok, but like any other animal/human, they need to get out every day. If they can see another animal, that's fine. Sometimes they're alone for their own safety: the horse hierarchy can be nasty

Yes I agree, and we know several homeless/vulnerable folks whose dogs are cared for really well. At home all day dogs is cruel. I'm also against the millions made by breeding. Can't folks have a rescue? Surely there are already enough to go round? Bit like children 😉

I would agree, but from another perspective - pets, esp dogs - it's just gone too far.

Yes, it's him 😍. Crean was an amazing fella. My ducks were named Oates, Scott, Wilson, Evans - all tragically died, just like their namesakes 🥲
Will name the next lot Shackleton, Crean, Worsley and Chippy 😁

Oh blimey. Before the pack closes in, presumably. My dream to go to Antarctica. Had an opportunity but I'll was prevented. Next try I applied for cleaner job at research station. Third attempt coming soon. Have a pic of my hero next to the computer. My penguin is also thus named. I obsessed? Me?

Interesting. Is that more about the children having more contact with native speakers though, ie school

Yes definitely as they'll be realigning. I can do many regional and international accents, and often mirror the person I'm speaking with. I think it's because I listen to the other person, rather than thinking what I'm going to say next. Empathy?
