As a Scot, I can tell you that Carnegie is not spoken about, either positively or negatively. He’s no national treasure like Robert Burns or Alexander Fleming. He was never mentioned at school and his legacy, locally , is the Carnegie Hall in Dunfermline, not as great as the one in the US.

Thanks for your response. I was responding to a post on this site . Yes, I can read, and write without being abusive. I was also critical of the state of affairs in my own country and how it reflected the situation in America. If I offended you, I apologise.

I’m in the UK. I don’t watch or support BBC news and haven’t for many years now. As a UK citizen and a Scot, I find it biased and London-centric. Particularly now, its coverage of Palestine, or lack of, disgusts me.

Not being smug or anything like it. I’m in the UK and, to be honest, we’ve been pretty shafted for the last decade at least. Our Socialists have been replaced by Tories in red ties, our Conservatives have been conserving themselves and our media are chasing ratings and peerages. We’re fkd too.

USA You elected him. Live with it or do something about it. What are the stats. How many voted for Trump? How many voted for Kamala? How many voted for a third party?(and why ?) and, most importantly, how many didn’t vote at all?. Democracy isn’t easy, but you have to take part to make it work.
