Speaking punctuation, you’re missing a comma after otherwise. Also, you have three sentence fragments. The last three are missing predicates.

7.) be mindful of how you type
using excessive abbreviations can make a post disorientating. doing a few or doing common ones is okay, but having a post full of abbreviations can be confusing for screen readers. try not to type like “t h i s” as each letter is read individually.

6.) support films with ASL captioning
try to support ASL-captioned films and TV shows whenever possible. for example, if you’re just watching something in the background and just kinda listening, see if there’s an ASL version. it’ll still have audio, and it’ll tell companies there’s a demand.

5.) clear your snow and ice
pretty much all mobility aids are negatively effected by snow and ice. even with a special tip, it’s very hard to use my cane in snow and ice. both wheelchairs and walkers can get stuck . it can cause issues with mobility scooters. please try to keep paths clear.

4.) support accessible businesses
support businesses that have plenty of disability parking spots, braille signage and menus, plenty of disability-friendly bathrooms, and ways they go above the bare minimum legal requirements to help their disabled patrons.

3.) don’t block sidewalks
your car or bike or whatever might be easy for you to walk around, but it can be hard for people with mobility aids. luckily i can still go into the grass with my cane, but that’s not an option for every person with a mobility aid. park on the street if needed.

2.) use built-in or coded fonts
when using platforms that allow for HTML or CSS coding by users, use those fonts. if you have to copy and paste a font, there’s a chance a screen reader won’t be able to read it. for testing, you can look up free screen readers and copy the text. some readers vary.

1.) alternate text
when you make posts on social media, include alternate texts! some platforms like bluesky have a built-in function, but some like facebook people just add it to their post. this alternate text is read by screen readers. the alt text should be clear and concise.

Cassette Beasts really opened my eyes to how much Pokémon is lacking! Cassette Beasts is like if Pokémon had a soul and a cooler aesthetic.

plus, if you can’t run a game, there are free cloud streaming options available! i use the free version of GeForce now and can play pretty much any game on my laptop!
