Her gender, race, ties to Biden (economy), didn't have an actual primary, the situation in Gaza, voter suppression, and the DNC's utter failure to listen to anyone outside their camp regarding polling and her campaign strategy all played a part. Also voter interference from Musk, even if only by $$.

Many things in life cause trauma. A loved and cared-for child is still a better situation than the alternatives, when and if a woman is willing to carry the child to full term. A biological mother is not the only valid caregiver, and is sometimes the worst caregiver.
