Cool that we've reached the Sieg Heil From The Stage phase of our decline.

Anyone who defunds preschools is my mortal enemy

Man this motherfucker looks like a thumb

He's literally claiming the power to repeal laws now Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

An elite backlash dressed in the clothes of populism

This is what we get for having fake political parties in the US. A party is an organization you join, pay dues to, and have a voice in. In a real party you vote on which member from among your ranks will represent you, and that person has to follow the platform chosen by members or lose their job.

REVEALED: we identified the operator of an overtly racist X account, "GlomarResponder," as ICE Assistant Chief Counsel James Rodden, based on an overwhelming number of biographical details matched through publicly available documents, other social media activity, and courtroom observation.

another Thing I Will Keep Saying: there is of course an important moral case for internationalism. but the practical case for it can start by simply noticing how internationalist the people robbing you are (however nationalist their rhetoric might be)

19-02-1866 USA: The first union in Mississippi was created by African-American washerwomen.

There's a union out there called AFSCME and they're busting their balls for you doing a lot of shit work you take for granted

Come work with us! Apply by March 10: labornotes.org/jobs

Brb gonna assemble a crack force of local dipshits from Protector, the app that allows every hot-dog-necked police academy reject to find work as a gig economy thug

The labor movement needs more organizers. You don't necessarily need a ton of organizing experience, but you do need to be willing to learn, talk to strangers, travel a lot, and work long hours. It's not a normal job, or life, but also you get to be a union organizer, which is pretty amazing!

Trump gutted the National Labor Relations Board and things are already getting grim. The new board’s first memo signal its intentions to hamstring organizing and worker mobility, allow captive audience meetings, and deny college athletes’ right to unionize. www.nlrbedge.com/p/acting-gen...

DOGE is looking for tech solutions to improve air traffic control because that's how Elon and his friends make money. Meanwhile, what we actually need to make flying safer is *better working conditions* for the people who have been keeping travelers safe for decades while pleading for more support.

A BBC study just found that generative AI can't even generate news story synopses with any consistent accuracy, and here we are happily pretending it's a symmetrical replacement for education and experience

*This* is what looting looks like. An absolutely opportunistic smash-and-grab with no regard for who is harmed or what is damaged.

Yup. Always been a mission to strip us for parts

Two rules for death threats for those new to getting them: 1. The overwhelming majority are empty threats; follow through is rare. 2. Compliance invites more threats.

me and the homies are building a practicable soviet of technicians, want in?

A rank-and-file group called the Federal Unionists Network is planning a nationwide “Save Our Services” day of action on February 19, targeting the dealerships of Musk’s car company Tesla—sign up here to participate locally: actionnetwork.org/events/save-...

@labornotes.bsky.social full of concrete examples of solidarity in action.

this reminds me of those studies which found that representatives consistently overestimated how conservative their constituents were.

We need an outline of crisis scenarios in which everyday people will be fucked over (and how) because of the evisceration of government agencies. Most people have no idea what any of these cuts or firings mean for them.

Are you looking for a way to plug into the fight against the corporate takeover of the federal government? Join this Feb 19 Day of Action. HANDS OFF OUR HEALTHCARE, OUR RESEARCH, OUR JOBS There's a strategy call TONIGHT. All concerned people welcome. us06web.zoom.us/webinar/regi...

If your union is currently bargaining a new contract this little case study from @labornotes.bsky.social is a must read.

I think that labor organizing has a lot to offer figuring out how to organize right now, because we’re all basically just individual workers scared of retaliation from the bosses.

this is where the rubber meets the road. NIH doesn't just fund research univs and hospitals in blue states. if anything they're most important to regional economies in the reddest states and districts.

The only hope for higher ed is the academic labor movement. Join this @higheredlabor.bsky.social call next week to plan our fight us06web.zoom.us/webinar/regi...

Police tried to protect a small group of armed neo-Nazis from angry community members today on a freeway overpass in #Ohio, people managed to push through police as the Nazis escaped in a box truck. Young people then set fire to a stolen Nazi flag.

Making the most of my Las Vegas area union organizing turf ❤️

People gotta get it through their thick skulls: Elon Musk is not actually good at business. Tesla would have died many times over by now, if not for outright fraud. The tactics he is using on government now have destroyed Twitter as an experience and business. His other companies aren't profitable.

There is something that can compel employers to recognize unions in the absence of a functioning NLRB: worker power. Striking for recognition forces employers to the table and ensures that they take you seriously when you get there.

“They apparently just sort of walked past security and said: ‘Get out of my way,’ and they’re looking for access for the IT systems, as they have in other agencies,” said a former Noaa official. “They will have access to the entire computer system, a lot of which is confidential information.”

i fucking hate it when the world catches up to me.

This podcast ep about tenant organizing is exactly what we need right now. We can beat the ruling class and build a better world if we want to. That's not cope or empty optimism, it's just true. We can win if we use strategies with a demonstrated record of success and commit to doing the work.

Imagine complaining about fucking puppets when the whole country is falling apart and the newly empowered fascists are determined to make an example out of Chicago. Given the opportunity to defend freedom of expression these ghouls decided they'd rather do the enemy's work for them.

take note

Do you think DOGE knew how much of USAID spending was actually CIA spending? 🤔
