Where is this data from?

Given his body of work over the last two years with SEA and his first handful of games w NYR, it's hard not to be skeptical, but every now and then you catch lightning in a bottle with a given pair.

Let's see 10 more before we change our minds! 😁

Yea. Exactly. Was Howden objectively horrible as a Ranger? Yes. Did NYR lift a finger to develop him and set him up for success? Probably not!
comment in response to post
I don't think the criticism of Howden during his time here was unwarranted. How much it was his fault and how much was an organizational failure is really what should be under scrutiny here.

I'm just confused why they need another C with Brodz and Carrick available? What message are they sending Berard here?
comment in response to post
It's just too bad NYR's two best pairs both include Miller. What a luxury it would be to have TWO functional D pairs.

Mildly depressing that Brett Berard is #2. Love the kid but...

It's always when you expect the massacre that it doesn't materialize, but maybe by not expecting the expected, it becomes unexpected and the massacre happens anyway.

It's this PLUS: Othmann had an underwhelming campaign in the AHL last year. Had a good couple games to start the year but then was injured for a LONG time. Going to need to get his legs under him and prove something before he slots in above any other top 9 winger option.

You're right, but also, it's the 2024-2025 New York Rangers 😬

Happy Anniversary, sir! I'm sure she's lucky to have you too.

This is Vince reporting that Drury had his eye on Borgen for a while: www.usatoday.com/story/sports...

This was Dreger reporting on Drury not doing his due diligence with Kakko. youtu.be/qUnrrBUKJLE?...
comment in response to post
Can't wait to listen to the Ranger portion. *skips a few min* *skips again* *skips a few more* Oh, right.

A certain type of Ranger fan when he asks for a trade: "Why do NYR always draft these entitled children?!"
comment in response to post
Maybe taking what he can get, but this too says something about what he does/doesn't value given where Jones is at in his career.
comment in response to post
We can only speculate what he could have otherwise gotten, if anything, but would have rather seen that value come back in some other form: a lottery ticket depth prospect or higher pick. Vaak/Borgen is only hurting Jones at this point.
comment in response to post
There was at least one recent report suggesting Drury did not do his due diligence on the market for Kakko and another that he had been interested in Borgen for some time. Yes, offloading Trouba is great, but there was also no need to get Vaak with Ruhwedel and Jones over here.

Join me in watching the Knicks instead. Big basketball guy now. Huge.

Just make sure you don't accidentally switch on the Rangers during your trip. Can't imagine the depths and impending sense of doom you might fall into...
comment in response to post
I don't buy that Drury was ready to give up on the season when he made those deals so he must have felt there was *some* value/upside with those players. Anyway, pardon me for hating this guy's guts.
comment in response to post
Do Borgen and Vaak count as what Drury believes actually qualify as good defenders? I'm reluctant to give him a pass to say he was just asking for warm bodies that play defense given the structure of the trades.

Wait, is this positive culture bs even allowed?

The problem isn't Rempe's game so much as it is people believing Rempe has value in the first place.
