uh oh

Best thing from the oscars

2/5 with best picture wins for the decade.

Happy for Anora, would have liked to have seen it win though. Fuck you Hulu.

Aw crap! Hulu just ended it's stream before best picture! This is Adrien Brody's fault for going so long!

Did Hulu just kill the feed?

Loving the absolutely insane choices to fill the lack of original song nominations playing.

Love Morgan Freeman coming out and being being like "love Gene Hackman, and now everyone else that died".

honestly shocked it won, great film

exhibit #95748573 the french need to be bullied more

Margaret Qualley during the James Bond tribute at the #Oscars  See the full winners list: bit.ly/OscarWins25

Would love if they just do a Bond tribute montage every year now for some reason.

Why is Nick Offerman doing the VO work?

Love how much of a blast the lady from I'm Still Here is clearly having.

The fuck even is NATO without the US?

Still up, as of right now. Enjoy it while you can!

You gotta hand it to Jim Varney for being able to make his face display an emotion that does not exist in nature

A rare hatless Ernest

Absolutely embarrassed to be an American. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to work with us in any capacity after today. We are a nation of hateful, harmful people and those that allow them to exist and hold office. Anyone in our government not standing up to this is complicit at this point.

THE DOMINO PRINCIPLE (Kramer, 1977)

i hope more than anything what people learn from this 2nd trump term is that the capitalist class are aligned and they want you to have less rights and only want you to exist to generate profit for them

Gene Hackman in THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS is about as good as it gets. Even among his litany of huge roles it’s towering, to me

FRENCH CONNECTION II (Frankenheimer, 1975)

Some great Japanese posters for Hackman films

RIP to one of the greatest actors of all time.

Underrated Hackman movie I love is Prime Cut. He also rocked playing Bill Clinton in Absolute Power. Just the tip of the iceberg, these two movies.

RIP, king

Forgot this was my banner lol

goddammit

Man.

God, the Hackman news is fucking tragic. Mount Rushmore level talent, one of the best to ever do it.

Never really liked him or Kurtzman but still really sad to hear, guy was really young too.

Watching the AIRPLANE II deleted scenes found on YouTube and discovered that Rip Torn, already in the movie playing another role, appears as Reagan in one. This seems important.

The Quiet Man (1952) I found this quite dull. It was obvious Ford just wanted to hang out in his fairytale Ireland where all religions get on and the IRA are handsome singing lads and spousal abuse is a laff. It looks beautiful and Wayne is magnificent, bringing the melancholy and humanity.

Insane that if the Kathleen Kennedy news is true it first drops from fucking Puck.

THE KILLERS (Fukasawa, 1991)

Best sign I have of the quality of Andor season 2 is Disney seemingly having no clue what to do with it. That trailer's tone and the release schedule really just tell me how they wanna be done with this which makes sense in today's political climate.

He's just gonna keep doing this every month isn't he?

A LOW DOWN DIRTY SHAME (Wayans, 1994)

Isabelle Adjani in Violette et François, Jacques Rouffio (1977)

(George went to at least one Trek convention during the development of Star Wars, which is kind of wild to think about)

Not the first to say it but seems like the problem will be working itself out hopefully pretty soon.
