Environment, public health PhD. I love cities, birds and music. You’ll find me around town biking with my family, caring a lot about housing and the toxic drug crisis, and singing tenor in a choir. Genderqueer. The Olive Ridley is a sea turtle!

That sounds cool! I just love savoury baked goods though and I’m not a habitual baker (more cook than baker). So, my kingdom for someone else to make me savoury scones. I bug my partner occasionally for them :)

No one reads the bio, I just put it in there so people don’t call me Oliver :)

That’s why the last line on my profile is always “the Olive Ridley is a sea turtle” :)

On my life list is to go see an Arribada event, I’ve only seen individual turtles nesting, not this mass nesting mayhem!

Olive Ridleys were my gateway from being a clueless relatively privileged kid to having my eyes opened to environmental conservation, habitat, the tension between “protecting “ the environment and working with local populations. I joined the local OR conservation group in Chennai, rest is history :)

Children are not responsible for nor accountable for the actions of their parents, so please don’t advocate for bullying regardless of how angry you are at the situation or how righteous you feel your anger is

The last time I thought about transport Canada was many years back when they couldn’t even bring in truck skirts to stop trucks from sucking pedestrians and cyclists in on impact. Such an easy and proven fix, I’m not holding my breath

So, I hope you had fun letting your emotions ride from sports with a bitter rival, now a geopolitical threat to juice the emotions even more. I’ve fallen off the sports emotion rollercoaster in the last few years, but man, I remember the pain of last ball sixes even now! I can still see that shot

I was of course one of the millions, primed to “hate” on the Pakistanis. Ironically, I assume thousands of Indians had a poster of imran khan, India’s nemesis on their bedroom wall, his hotness and presence transcended hate apparently (he later became prime minister of Pakistan, nvm)

I find these class action settlements to be so laughable. This company stole eleventh zillion dollars from people, here’s 5 bucks, that will teach them

Great point. I had celebrated the fact that we’re finally leaving the 19th century but this is a silly US law that serves no purpose anymore and who knows when someone brings it up

I’m not a separation of powers maximalist but WTAF are premiers doing foreign policy for? They are ridiculously unqualified for this type of work. I know, political posturing for domestic attention wins, that’s all

Annual inspections! They are incredibly annoying, which is why they'll never happen, but there's no better universal mechanism for keeping cars quiet, safe and clean. The police if given more power will just pull over more black and indigenous people for taillight issues, not target killer trucks
