What the hell 😂 I saw some wild choices while we were looking at houses (most of the inventory around here is a hundred years old) but that’s another level.

I can’t tell you how much I wish this was real and how enthusiastically delighted I would be if it were.

This is going to be worded confusingly but I agree — I love that kind of art and they don’t have to look real in the sense of what they are representing seeming realistic to FEEL real in the sense of existing physically in a room with actors, which is a thing that has its own high value.

Right wingers have only one true belief: law should protect but not bind their in-group and bind but not protect everyone else. Once you see that, everything they do makes horrible sense.

And not just our own healthcare but our kids, partners, etc. — even if we would ourselves suffer to try and make some small difference, most of us are supporting others, via both paycheck and job-tied family health plans, who we can’t rightly jeopardize.

I called the line for Tomb Raider once, back in the day. It was a recorded voice reading a walkthrough. It wasn’t very helpful unfortunately.

I promise I would be unable to navigate either way

I said exactly this to a high school counselor almost 20 years ago. That I didn’t have a big crazy ambition to change the world. I just wanted work that would be tolerable and fund my free time with hobbies, friends, and family. I wanted a calm life.

Endlessly obsessed with how it’s so unsettling and so tempting at the same time. So easy to imagine ending up there.

Amazing you posting this right after I saw Green Room

Pretty sure this is why people do it — a certain subset of dogs LOVE being casually manhandled and some people meet one or two of those and assume it’s all of them.

I have a Buddy (a name that was not merely given but earned - he was called what he is, until it became his name.)

I love it dearly but I can’t take it right now. A world where DC is populated mainly by intelligent people with good intent, who believe in something & stand up for it, who debate passionately to get closer to the truth, who mostly want to help even when they disagree on how… it’s painfully alien.

I’m left wondering where they were in 7th grade history class when we studied that.

No doubt you cook amazing things for friends that know you and trust that your cat doesn’t get on your counters and walk through your cookie dough, but most of us have seen our coworkers leave the bathroom without washing their hands a little too often to have faith in their kitchens.

I haven’t bought any for awhile but there was a time I could go through 2 dozen a week all by myself easy — one dozen for breakfasts and the other to hard boil for snacks. Get a partner and a couple kids with similar habits… I thought it was weird at first too until I did the math.

People hate it but I have compared it to pooping and the analogy holds. Being unable to create feels like being mentally constipated and often the problem is what and how much I am consuming — a healthy art diet leads to equally healthy art bowels.

This is basically the source of my health anxiety. So many things that are “red flags you should always contact your doctor about” are just normal daily occurrences. I go through life just hoping I’ll be able to tell the difference between normal and dangerous versions.

Literally though, that was some of the tightest choreography I’ve ever seen.

I want to stop being like this but it’s both scary and I’m not sure how.

Go hang around Dotonbori when the tigers win something, see what the locals are doing and say that again.

Barkley has done at least two adorable little tumbles where he like, goes for a roll and then pops back up. I love it.
