Y'all really committed to the bit, I'll give you that. I haven't finished the episode, but I will. I gotta' take this one in small doses.

You got too many brushes in your other hand, stick em in a jar! (hypocritical advice, of course, we all do this)

Serious "LINE BLOCK" energy from this. youtu.be/Alw5hs0chj0?...

The painting looks great. I keep a 9x11 glass pallet in my freezer too. Do you pre-mix every color? Yours is so neat and orderly, but I can see how you run out of space.

Please never stop saying cleansing thermonuclear fire is canceled from the evening. When I read it, I relax.

Surprised and pleased to find out you're a Scheller grad. I'm in good company!

The Filmmaker David Hoffman recently had a stroke. He says he's ok, but he also describes new limitations and feelings of mortality. He recently did a touching video about giving up his postcard collection he's been building since he was a small child. youtu.be/HbDpiZP0ga0?...

That said, looking at your art, you are using oil pastels and other thick mediums, so canvas probably isn't a bad choice for you. The large fibers can be an advantage for holding big chunks of paint and medium. It's different for relatively thin oil painting where a finer surface is more desirable.

Thanks, I often paint on linen panels. It's similar to a canvas panel, but the threads on the linen are finer. Linen has a less-rough texture, but it has more tooth than a smooth gessoed panel. The paint can also flow a little easier compared to canvas. The linen isn't that much more expensive.

Honestly a dick move to write the name of that song because now it's in my head too.

Dude, I love your paintings. You really do a great job not making mud with the dark edges on light backgrounds. I really struggle with it. Great job.

The colors and values are great. Love the highlights on the tree.

You personally ruined the Orioles logo for me - I can't see his dumb face without mentally seeing that dude pointing at his cloaca and saying "bathroom stuff".

That's even harder though! Amazing.

That's a lot of skulls! I'm not sure I'd have the patience to draw all those heads. 😁

Great job conveying the distance and scale with the road. This is great!

The drawing of whatever that thing that isn't a truck is next level. It has real movement - like an overly-complex mechanical bug. Well done!

This looks amazing. Is it based on a real location?

The mosaic tiles are shockingly good. I genuinely thought it was a photo of a mosaic with some drawn flowers.

This is a great chicken.

I love how you brought the drama out of something so mundane (I think anyway, I don't know about dogs and raisins).

This is an insane watercolor. I thought it was oil, I'm baffled how you did this. Amazing.

I quit using reddit when I couldn't use my 3rd party app anymore. I missed it for a moment then forgot about it. I quit using Myspace because I forgot about it. I quit using Facebook because it sucked. Like cutting the grass, we should mow our social media periodically. It's normal and healthy.

The pure moods compilation is not available on my streaming service, so I've been trying to reconstruct the lure moods as a playlist. I'm still like two songs short now. That disc really was a solid set. The front half came in with the hits (two enigmas and an Enya) but the back half, wow.

I thought this was a type-o-negative lyric at first, and I was trying to sing it. It was not. That goes,"Those lips smooth, yeah, I can feel what you're saying, praying "

I'm a little sad my kids have outgrown your children's books. The Princess and the Pony was a household favorite, and I wish I could share another.

Whatever it was, it's probably better this way.

Your work is top notch, George, keep going. We can't see what you intended (impossible for anyone to achieve), just what you produce (great).

@erikahall.bsky.social what software did you use to make this website? Asking for me who occupies a similar, if less prolific niche.

Wow, that's really well done. Great use of value shapes and accurate perspective and proportion on odd shapes great use of color.
