“God is on Trump’s side. God is not on the Democrats’ side and if patriots have to kill 60 million of these communists, it is God’s will. Think ethnic cleansing but it’s anti-communist cleansing.” William McCall Calhoun Jr.

NY Times fun house Liberalism. Where all sides are due not only a hearing, all sides deserve respect. I don't recall any NY Times story about astronomers or geologists being pro round earth.

Polls in 74 had a higher percent whites polled than today I'll guess. Thus presuming authoritarian support in polls would not likely poll 68% support today. So now when you see 56% supporting the LA stuff this isn't an accurate measure of actual liberalism having risen since 74.

A poll sometime after had 68% supporting the Ohio National Guard, in regard to the student shootings. The same who supported Calley's release. Now today polls are skewed by ethnics but an unskewed poll would find that 68% would still hold up today. My sadness. Watching and waiting for 50 years.

Ethnic segregation and ethinc discrimination are popular. That's the problem for Democrats. All the hand wringing and David Brooks bleatings since the 70's are distractions which for 60 years helped Democrats pretend it wasn't so. Especially the Democrats who don't like ethnics either.

Hill in her lead appearance at the first Trump impeachment said "we" fought against fascism in WWII. My heart sank. No "we" didn't. Some did but half of American are fascist or largely amenable to fascism. For 80 years non fascists couldn't or wouldn't see it or say it. When blood runs you'll see.

How did Grassley's staff of wingnuts let that happen?

The war on Islamic terrorism had to start with the Saudis state enforced fundamentalist version of Islam. Which arose at exactly the same time English speaking Christians invented Biblinca Fundamentalism in response to modernism, for the same reasons.

Abundance means more credit. Specifically bank credit which is how money is created. We've been borrowing ourselves into abundance for 40 years but need much much more money as everyone knows. fred.stlouisfed.org/series/TOTBKCR

Like lawyers who aren't quite smart enough for the Supreme Court, that is those not out of Yale, ballplayers who don't play for New York or Boston teams just don't quite stack up.

The problem for Democrats is that racial and ethnic segregation are popular. I wonder why this obvious fact has never been stated in that way since the dawn of the Civil Rights era?

8 years on it's amazing that the obvious fact that Miller is an odious creep has not bled through to his coverage in news and comment. The Goebbels analogies from pictures to words is so obvious yet is never mentioned. Amazing.

Abundance, or substitute the world growth, requires more cheap energy. 50 years of better policy and rapid credit expansion have not and will not deliver abundance. Abundant energy is not going to happen, if at all, on a timescale of several decades.

Matty Y used 'neoliberal shill' as a header on his Twitter page sometime back. I pointed out that isn't quite right. He's the living embodiment of neoliberalism.

Abundance requires abundant cheap energy. The economy is an energy system. Better policy and more credit, money that is, will not bring abundance. There is no prospect for abundant energy. Just more barely treading water instead. surplusenergyeconomics.wordpress.com/resources/

Nobody cares about the debt because they sort of know the Fed will monetize it. They know or think they know the 'debt' is illusory. What they don't know is that then the money is then illusory and that the money is bad.

The coin of the Conservative realm is publicity. Every one of Trump's boys and girls is a publicity hound just like Daddy. The publicity, the fame itself, is the point. Trump has a shot at being one of the most famous people in world history. More famous than Hitler. He's going for it.

15 or so years ago I caught wind of the Pedophile panic in the UK among let's call them alternative political thinkers. With networks of the powerful involved. Uh oh I thought.

Truss was nixed by a financial panic that she inadvertently fostered. Inadvertent because she's dumb. I mean Art Laffer in the 2020's? OMG.

Frightened? Odd emotion to have when thinking of Brooks. He built a nice little career out of a shtick. Imagining a Conservatism which exists only in his imagination. Turning away from that is curious not freighting. Of course Brooks was going to stray when the blood stared flowing. Not so soon.

With all possible respect, that isn't an endgame.

One takeaway for me is it doesn't advance any endgame. Probably sets it back. I don't have an an endgame. Another is that with very small expenditures small groups can inflict significant strategic damage on great powers. While Ukraine isn't small it's smallish. Imagining anarchy, with drones.

That quote would have most of MAGA reaching for their guns. Conservatism has come a long way. In the the arc of the history of political parties often has 180 degree turns. However, Conservatism morphing into anarchy wasn't on many Bingo cards.

I believe it is in the realm of possibility that Trump would order a launch with the intent of destroying the world. Yes, pure madness. With chances increasing as he declines. I won't hazard a percent chance. Pick your own. Not likely but possible. The question then is, do they launch?

Rahm got Obama elected. Period. Full Stop. His PR people, so to speak, were floating stories of how much the Japanese loved him last year. Why not Rahm? He's not woke. His profanity is legendary. A powerful asset. Politics is a dirty business. What his plans are for a rapidly devolving world?

It isn't blowing up the economy. It is maintaining banks position as exclusive creators of money. Only by replacing a majority of Regional Fed bank presidents and controlling the Open Market Committee could he/they control the Fed to do wacky Trumpy things. Perhaps destroying the monetary system.
