The New York Times headline writers now call groups like the AMA and the College of Physicians and Surgeons "pro-vaccine groups." They get more preposterous with each passing day.

This both sides hogwash is part of what got us here in the first place. Sometimes there aren’t two sides - just right and wrong. Vaccines save lives. There isn’t another side.
Media should be the first ones assigned blame for the mess this country is in! Without their complicity for coloring the facts with their biased reporting, the Taco & his regime would have been relegated to Waffle House instead of being handed the keys to the White House!
Watching from the other side of the Pond, it’s quite shocking to see how much of the US media has dropped to its knees to fellate the Orange Mushroom. Media acquiescence is crucial to an authoritarian takeover. And it’s all going to plan…
The NYT bears significant responsibility for the diseased generations of people who will suffer illness and die. They have been so irresponsible in their reporting, headline writing and both-siding positions. Completely immoral people. All of them.
New headlines:
Medical doctors
Support vaccines
Which have a proven effectiveness and safety to prevent illnesses!
So people don’t unnecessarily die or be permanently disabled!!
'Pro-vaccine groups'... also known as 'all sane medical pros'? Way to 'both sides', NYTimes... hope it feels awful to keep embarrassing yourself like this.
I kind of feel like these stories are written by younger people who haven’t seen the toll these diseases take and just take their health now as granted. And some may not even be all that young.
in the trash fire that is "journalism" these days, you follow orders because the rent is too damn high. Failure to follow orders means you get exiled to sinclair/fox if you are lucky but most likely you'll be proofreading AI articles in mom's basement.
Wow, strong words from both sides! It's like a punch to the gut. Can we take a step back and acknowledge that the media's role is to inform, not to take sides?
This is exactly why I canceled my subscription a couple weeks ago. The AMA and the College of Physicians and Surgeons should be referred to as "health experts" and "leading health educators". FFS. I threw in the towel.
OK we got Sleepy,Grumpy,Dopey,Sneezy, Scratchy,Itchy ,

For no reason, just want to point out that if you get a NY Times home delivery, there is no limit to the number of successive six-month "vacation holds" you can do where you pay nothing and still have access. (going on ten years.)
I'll be generous and say a lot of people will misconstrue that wordy question as "who makes the final decision on whether you get a vaccine?" And obviously most adults do. Some ppl also have severe issues with "giving up control".
Good point. I do notice the doctor numbers are similar across the political groups, but the yourself numbers vary a lot. Indies are closer to R than D. Idk, my theory is just part of what's going on.
Not just headline writers. Reporter, too, using "pro-vaccine groups" - and she should know better.
What, like, "pro-knowledge groups"
"pro-truth groups"
"pro-history groups"
"pro-reality groups"
[I'd say "pro-life," but the nuts have hijacked that one]
Appointments of two quacks should upset any intelligent person. Doctors have disagreements, but it is the training and professional experience that determines if a person is a quack or a doctor. Moreover, vaccines are not all good or all bad. Kennedy is untrained in anything except taking on risks.
Also, the uproar won't be over the new members' criticism of scientists and policies but their demonstrated wholesale rejection of widely-acknowledged scientific, statistical, and ethical best practices in medical research.
When your kid gets whooping cough or measles or any other illness that has a vaccine stay the fuck out of the emergency room call RFK in the middle of the night when your child is so sick. Same with covid patients who denied the disease but when they couldn’t breath ran to the emergency room.
My grandson is profoundly disabled from a virus he caught in utero, cytomegalovirus. He will never walk, talk, feed himself, toilet himself, tell us he loves us
A vaccine has been under development. That is now likely halted
The herd immunity people are running the place now. Best stock up on masks. Wait, those are getting banned too, right? Well then, say g'bye to the elders and infirm. The eugenics era has begun.
The @nytimes.com shows its propaganda leanings. When it presents RFK, Jr., and the Trump regime (and every Republican in Congress, including the so-called physicians) as the "anti-science" and "pro-death" fools they are, then the New York Times might be worth reading again.
It's all about undermining confidence and bringing Social coordination and control into question.
It creates confusion and anxiety.
Masking any exchange of liberty and 'rights' worth doing in exchange for the Safety of 'Order and Control', simple and sensible, and arrogance seems like confidence!
NYT being typically pathetic in their reporting...
There is no "pro-vaccine" groups, only sensible people who don't like to see children and the vulnerable suffer from preventable illnesses on one side and anti-vax nutcases on the other side.
old proverb: May the headline writers have enormous success and buy homes with 10 bedrooms and may they roll from bed to bed because of the POX they will get due to lack of seriousness.
These are the real pro-life people. They're trying to keep as many of us on this side of the dirt (or the crematorium) as possible.
From before conception to our last breath and sometimes afterward if they can spread our parts to save others.
I noticed that shit too. They should call them "pro-life" and "pro-death" , like "climate change fanatics" and "those who live in denial and continue to make big bucks off the carbon economy".
the @nytimes.com has made the shift…they are no longer THE independent source for news, no longer the printed bastion of liberalism. they are now just another “how would he want us to say it”… there was a time when they were where you went for the story, no longer. now weak and afraid…
NYT is owned by the billionaire investor class. They do not want a well-informed populace. Do not give NYT your money (either directly via subs or indirectly via ads/page views). Support independent journalism instead.
Not only that but when they say "Biden administration's Covid vaccine policies" as a stand-in for basic things like masking, stay-at-home orders, and vaccination pushes, they're talking about policies that Trump implemented.
How is any reputable doctor NOT a pro-vaccine professional? NY Times staff need to answer why they feel a need to label them at all? Also need to read some history about the wonderful, life saving childhood disease vaccines.
Everything that emanates from the dark side of human nature, the very worst that human beings have to offer, is always ass backwards…ALWAYS! “Pro-vaccine groups.” Anyone, not lost in their dark side, would cherish scientific researchers brilliant enough to make life saving vaccines available to all.
Imagine if these brilliant scientists said, we’re not sharing these vaccines with folks of average intelligence. We’ll decide, based on variables we choose, who gets our life saving vaccines. An Orc & his orckettes, running behind him, like brain worm man, get to decide your & your child’s fate!
I could have bet every cent I own that Malone would be on that panel. It's only a matter of time until they say NO vaccine is recommended and preventable disease will run rampant again. What a fucking disaster.
Oh my God I can't take the idiocracy of it all. Pro vaccine. Well we used to rejoice when we got smarter than the virus that is out there trying to kill us. But I guess viruses are liberal? 🙄🤬
No, I would not actually say that saying "Some public health leaders accuse him of breaking his word" is any better! He totally, egregiously, obviously broke his word because at least three of the replacements on his panel are on the public record as notorious, vocal antivax charlatans!

I'm sorry, the Grey Lady has lost all dignity.
Camus was right: life is absurd 😐

As far as sardonic this particular news organization is known for slanting to the extreme right!
Immigration and crime knowledge left the world of reality long ago.
Unfortunately, shared governance depends on shared realities.
How about pro health?
They’re literally trying to kill us.

While they promote loons to ACIP.
It seems like the Washington Post and the LA Times are just straight-up MAGA Nazi operations.
The NYT is just an absolute failure of humanity.
Respondents were asked, who they most trusted on Vaccines.
The #1 answer for Democrats & Independents was "Your Doctor"
The #1 answer for Republicans.... "Yourself"
Yet they still went with “Your doctor”

Unimaginable tragedy and loss
Fuck Trump, RFK and the entire GOP
If Earth was attacked by space aliens hell-bent on our eradication, the NYT would run a headline like:
“Space Aliens pose no threat, says Space Aliens spokes-creature; critics disagree”
Take a fucking side. Grow a Backbone NYT.
The real story is who is allowing these writers to write these things but more importantly why?
Only then will you understand what lies behind what is truly happening.
It's happening here in the UK too.
It used to be called the softly softly approach.
It creates confusion and anxiety.

I may have autism, but I will get that Japanese firehouse job one way or another! If we have to slip across the border for vaccine shots we'll do so!
I don't recall any NY Times story about astronomers or geologists being pro round earth.
Good grief.
From before conception to our last breath and sometimes afterward if they can spread our parts to save others.
Just normal scientists
And weirdos
Why are Republicans so gross and pro-disease?
They've disappeared Trump's entire Covid response.
