Musk to Force Pentagon to Build and Them Pay Him to Use Network of Killer Satellites talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/musk-...

Elon Musk was with Trump at his Virginia golf club today

New: Here's a chart of the top conservative / liberal accounts on X. See that small blue dot? That's @acyn.bsky.social. His fast-cut clips of political combat get hundreds of millions more views than major news sources - and basically no one knows who he is. So I profiled him. wapo.st/3RpEvJ7

With these posts, they’ve made it essentially inarguable that they’re deliberately defying the Supreme Court.

The head of our country’s government is in the early stages of consolidating total power. We must of course reject this, but that is not enough. We have to respond by creating a different and better kind of American politics than we have seen before.

A powerful appeals court ruling against Trump; a Trump-induced economic collapse; a US citizen is branded 'illegal' and jailed; the wrecking of American manufacturing; and more. Watch the MeidasTouch Podcast at 8p ET/5p PT!

A reminder that there is no human being in the United States whom it would be legal to disappear to a Salvadoran prison without due process of law.

The possibility of abduction by a sovereign and imprisonment abroad is one criterion that separates democracies from dictatorships. The Declaration of Independence called the British king tyrannical for transporting Americans, “beyond Seas to be tried for pretended Offenses.”

Looming contempt charges, Trump’s defiance of court orders, his media lawsuits backfiring, the latest news about Abrego Garcia—and more. Watch a new Legal AF live at 8p ET/5p PT!

Chief Judge Boasberg's probable cause ruling is *not* an appealable order. DOJ can ask the D.C. Circuit for an extraordinary writ of mandamus, but that requires showing that the district court ruling both (1) was clearly wrong; and (2) is not otherwise capable of being remedied on a future appeal.

5 Points On How Judge Boasberg Broke Down The Admin’s Alien Enemies Contempt talkingpointsmemo.com/fivepoints/5...

POTUS is telling another world leader he's going to start deporting native-born Americans, and to build more concentration camps for the inflow. This is shocking, even for Trump. I'm sure MAGA will tell us that it was just some jokey chit chat. It's not at all.

One of hundreds of people abducted by ICE and sold to slavery in El Salvador was a 19 year old with no criminal record in the US or Venezuela and no tattoos of any kind. An ICE kidnapper who grabbed him outside his house said, "He's not the one." The other said, "Take him anyway." So they did.

I guess it’s good to know that the next Democratic president can ship Trump and his cabinet off to a Central American prison without a trial and we won’t ever have to worry about them coming back.

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

Congratulations to John Roberts for enabling *two* heads of state to mock you openly.

What we all just witnessed had all the earmarks of a criminal conspiracy to deprive Abrego-Garcia of his constitutional rights, as well as an impeachable offense. The fraud scheme was a phony agreement engineered by the US to have Bukele say he lacks power to return Abrego Garcia and he won't do it.

Going on @ayman.msnbc.com in 45 minutes or so to talk about this nightmare filing. Please remember that if the Trump administration succeeds in establishing this precedent, nothing will stop it from whisking away innocent American *citizens* to rot in an El Salvador prison forever.

We're moving down the road to tyranny very quickly here

Read this, and know that there are countless cases like this. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

The problem with this ruling is the presumption of regularity. In any other administration, a remand with instructions to facilitate Abrego Garcia’s return would lead to honest representations about what is—and isn’t—possible. In this administration, there’s no reason to expect straight answers.

BREAKING: Supreme Court upholds district court order that the Trump administration "facilitate" the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was improperly sent to El Salvador. More to come at Law Dork: www.lawdork.com

A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.

Soon ICE won’t even have to send you to El Salvador for the full gulag experience. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/07/u...

I’m honored to reach millions more by partnering with @meidastouch.com - the nation’s #1 podcast - to provide regular evidenced-based medical and health updates to all of you. This has never been more important and I’m grateful for the trust!

EXCLUSIVE: Tonight at the Kennedy Center, Guster brought on cast members from Finn, an LGBTQ+ kids musical that was recently canceled when Trump took over the center. They performed the band’s song “Hard Times” to a standing ovation. Full story, exclusive quotes and video on The Handbasket:

1/2 Counting active-duty, reserves, and contractors, some 3 million Americans are under direct/indirect authority of DOD. Every one of those 3 million—EVERY ONE—knows that if he or she had sent real-time info about combat operations on commercial platforms, their careers would be over. And worse.

The Times has to issue a correction here. An Executive order can’t “require” any such thing. Calling it ‘an aggressive push to catch” fraud is bad editorial judgment. The first part is demonstrably false. Those who have any voice to the Times need to demand this. Might as well say pigs fly.

Last night, the President issued a memorandum titled “Preventing Abuses of the Legal System and Federal Court,” appearing to target those who represent clients in matters adverse to the federal government and specifically targeting Marc Elias*, a prominent attorney and voting rights champion.

“George Conway, a frequent Trump critic and a former partner at a major law firm, told NBC News that firms need to look beyond the bottom line: “‘They have a moral duty to defend the very system that has allowed them to make the kind of money that they make. … (1/2)

If a law firm won't risk everything to defend itself, what makes you think it will risk anything to defend you? My advice: Find a law firm that will not back down and will never bend a knee.

every person involved in this needs to be in prison

“One young man sobbed when a guard pushed him to the floor. He said, ‘I’m not a gang member. I’m gay. I’m a barber.’ I believed him. *** He “began to whimper,” as his head was roughly shaved, “folding his hands in prayer as his hair fell.” He “asked for his mother & cried as he was slapped again.”

It is a sad day for the legal industry. Paul Weiss, didn't just bend a knee, it set a new standard for shameful capitulation. This is a stain on the firm, every one of its partners, and the entire legal profession.

So let's get this straight: The U.S. and Elon are now extorting Ukraine and threatening to turn off their Starlink Internet access unless they give their critical rare earth minerals to the United States? Staggering levels of corruption.

So the President not only fired the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. He also fired the top JAGs at the Army, Navy and Air Force. Those are the lead people who determine what is a legal order and what is not. So if you're planning to do things that are illegal they're the most obvious obstacle.

BREAKING: Donald Trump just fired General CQ Brown (left) and has replaced him with the less qualified Lt. General Dan Caine. DEI isn’t a problem if you’re white.

Valuing diversity is not a crime Installing white men in every position of power is not a meritocracy

If you look at all the firings across the government over the last two weeks it's frequently been taken as a given that any black or woman official or officer is either a DEI hire or supports DEI and is summarily fired on that basis. Seems like the same model here.

Of the Chiefs of Staff, vice chiefs of staff, and judge advocates general of the three branches, Trump fired all the women and Black people.
