In chapter 5 of “Strongmen”, (written by @ruthbenghiat.bsky.social), she talks about how discrediting the press is a tool used by fascists, followed by arrests/censorship. Trump accused the “fake news” in 2019 of “creating violence” and said they should be “executed “ , calling them “scumbags”.⬇️
