this post says progressives need to address young men’s needs. like what? job security? education? mental health concerns? which side do you think has the better offering for young men in those areas?

Can only be wedded to norms when things feel “normal.” But folks can’t find eggs, can’t visit their favorite national park, will start seeing missing social security payments, and all down the line.
Listen, I don’t know what to tell you if you want to be a defeatist about this. Me, I’m gonna fight

Maybe. Maybe they’ve received death threats and are scared. Maybe they still have some futile hope that a guardrail somewhere will stop this. Either way people can see that they’re not fighting and everyday someone new will join the fight to primary them

We should never forget that people, when standing together, actually have power. Whether it’s against billionaires or in primaries against the feckless (really two sides of the same coin), we can do this. bsky.app/profile/juli...

Certainly. And they’ve been able to skirt through that during “normal” times. But now, with backs up against walls, those same voters who’ve “voted blue no matter who” are feeling shocked at how feckless their electeds are. Many are already frothing at the mouth and we still have 1+ year to go

The more feckless the current elected Dems are, the more rage will grow from their base. I’m expecting more than a few of these losers to get pulverized in the primaries

I wish for everyone to understand that in the unlikely event that future elections are fair enough for D's to get elected, if D's don't make massive changes to their approach to government, the US ends up *right back here* a few years later. Electing a Biden doesn't help at all.

“DEI” is just the n-word, or the f-word—context depending. Anytime anything bad happens a network of fascists hastily searches for minorities in leadership then baselessly claims theyre “unqualified”. This is literally just racism. It’s not a high-minded policy disagreement over “diversity programs”

For many of them, that is part and parcel of their fascism. For others, they’re just absolutely miserable and instead of putting in the work to understand why that is and address it, they’d just prefer everyone else to be just as miserable as they are and call it a day
