Burning away the earth so A.I. can review fake Tony Jaa sequels where Chris Hemsworth plays Alex Cross. (Apparently he has really good chemistry with Charlize Theron as ex-CIA agent turned private contractor Evelyn Stone.)

I'm not as high on THUNDERBOLTS*† as many seem to be, but I enjoyed it, mainly because it knows how to utilize Florence Pugh's real life super powers. †The asterisk is part of the title

Happy Mother's Day

Holding out my hand to those for whom Mother’s Day is hard: If you’ve lost your mom. If you’re a mom who’s lost a child. If you have a troubled relationship with your mom. If you’ve wanted to be a mom but it hasn’t worked out. Take care of yourselves today.

The first Democratic governor who sends their state troopers into an ICE field office to free someone ICE has kidnapped is going to be president in four years.

The biggest sign of how catastrophically the X brand has failed is that in Kanye West’s Heil Hitler song he still calls it Twitter

Star Wars (original trilogy and otherwise) still reveals new layers and interpretations that hadn't occurred to me before, despite obsessing over them for around 45 years. That's amazing.

Has enough time passed to discuss that what happens at the end of THUNDERBOLTS sucks? (SPOILERS.) Why would they go along with that, she just tried to burn them alive yesterday, now they willingly sit around waiting for her orders, and we're supposed to think that's cool because of the name?

An absolute genius. Some of my favorites from him: THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3, BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA, and VICE (horrible movie, incredible makeup).

Lexi Alexander's ABSOLUTE DOMINION is not what I look for in a fighting tournament movie, but I kinda admire that about it.

HARD BOILED legacy sequel about the baby grown up

I tend to assume the makers of Andor aren't into the nerdy Star Wars shit, but they wrote that last episode around the Rebels episode "Secret Cargo."

In my quest to improve international relations (learn about Canadian film) I checked out Denys Arcand's GINA (1975), a grindhouse/arthouse combo that ends as a rape-revenge movie (w/ snowmobile chase) but is mostly a socially conscious drama about class, sexism and exploited textile factory workers.

Does ACAB include Julia from the LOST BULLET trilogy? Asking for a friend

TANK vs TESLA "We've crushed fascism before and we'll crush it again" - WW2 veteran Ken, 98, in the tank

This goes double this week

I thought COMPANION was pretty good even having seen the trailer that reveals what it's about (spoilers starting in paragraph 5).

At a movie recently I saw trailers for THE PHOENICIAN SCHEME, SUPERMAN, THE FINAL RECKONING and MEGAN 2.0 in a row and I very sincerely thought to myself man, I love movies.

Came across someone reacting to this performance losing their mind and I realized how effective it really is. Because this is one of the first few videos *I* ever saw of Hiromi; it had a HUGE impact. For anyone curious: a perfect example of what she's about, and how. Hiromi, The Trio Project "Move"

There have been many movies about grief, but leave it to David Cronenberg to make the David Cronenberg movie about grief. THE SHROUDS is the latest gem in a master filmmaker's six decade run of vital movies no one else would or could make.

Since the original Star Wars trilogy was not shown in China, it was up to Chinese comic artists to let their imaginations run wild in adaptations for lianhuanhua. #maythe4th

Where have all those second amendment super fans gone?

Fingers crossed this is the May 4th when they finally announce a gritty Sebulba getaway driver crime series

One of my favorite soundtracks (source of the "Mind Playing Tricks On Me" sample) bit I've never been able to see the movie.

I love how stupid the new I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER trailer is. Is hit and run fisherman revenge really something where you can get useful advice from someone who's been through it before? I don't really believe it is.

A pipe has been leaking above our kitchen, it dripped through the paint and now our wall is diseased.

Hey I guess BLACK BAG is now on Peacock. Good movie.

🎵Go, go, go with a smile! Batdaaaaaance Do it Keep bustin'🎵

I've been watching more of the "Looney Tunes Cartoons" (the ones by the makers of THE DAY THE EARTH BLEW UP) and they're so good. There's one where Sylvester successfully eats Tweety but Tweety just thinks he has a new apartment and invites a bunch of other birds over for a party.

Oh damn, I didn't realize the REVENGE OF THE SITH re-release was a limited time offer. (Sorry, I love that movie.)
