IMO: What AI should be doing: assisting experts in a field with tasks that require massive amounts of data analysis, speeding up their process. What AI should not be doing: simplifying complex subjects for non-experts who don't understand the underlying concepts or knowledge base.

This is why I think it's important to say 'generative AI' or 'genAI' etc when complaining about fully automated luxury plagiarism machines. A lot of AI and machine learning is good! It benefits genAI companies and enthusiasts if, when you say 'AI sucks', they can pretend you mean this stuff too.

Eos' name was not originally Eos. They chose that name when they arrived at the surface. Eos comes from the Greek Titaness of the Dawn, and I imagine that Eos first surfaced around dawn, and was awed by the sun and the moon in the sky. Thus, they took Eos as their— (1/2) [ #oztomicEos | #tavqotd ]
