Saw a story a few years back where the techbros admitted they didn't hire a Black guy bc he said "hoops". The word "hoops" instead of "basketball" instantly made him a "bad culture fit". (so they said. We all know it wasn't that one thing. We know a white guy could have said "hoops").

You can't control if they're using AI to sort resumes. You can't control if they have key word matching system that was designed in the 1980s. You can't control if they're actually only interviewing to pretend to meet racial diversity quotas. You can't control any of that. Minimal energy.

The only proper general strategy for job hunting is to minimize your energy expenditure. Since SO MANY places are hiring on factors you cannot control for, it's a gamble. You have to do whatever is the least energy to get your name / resume in that system, and then hopefully get hired.

If you're interviewing multiple times or infront of many people, for all you know, ONE PERSON actually makes the choice, and you can't tell who that person will be. And again, there might be a lot of other choices already made you cannot control "Oh that's the director's nephew" gonna win period.

Listen. If you've made it to the point of interview, unless it's a highly specialized position? Probably what you say and do is less than 20% of what's going to make the decision at this point. They may have already decided before you show up. They might just be bigots. You can't control that.

And now we have a person who exhibits NPD traits leading a nation whose lore is steeped in NPD-esque behaviors. The grandiosity, lack of accountability, and isolation are multiplying by the day.

They never REALLY apologize, they just expect you to eventually act like they didn't do whatever thing they did because time passed. There's no accountability and if you ever tell the truth about the US, they will tell everyone listening that you hate them and want them dead (see protestors)

It's not even people *choosing* not to vote for you - it turns out dead, arrested, rendered homeless, hospitalized, and vote suppressed people CAN'T vote for you even if they want to.

"We didn't protect voting rights, we funded police who oppress you, we supported corporations that are fucking you over, we didn't give you funding in crisis, and we let Delta Air dictate COVID policy - why aren't we getting enough votes?"

Also, and really, a lot of people don't HAVE the money to donate. Folks lost so much during this (ongoing) pandemic that Biden promised to give aid during, then stepped back 5 ways and started saying "ok but Trump gave you have, then if you count this, and add up that, it counts right?"

Dems haven't learned the costs of the Obama administration's failures & keep trying to repeat the campaign. Obama promised things people actually needed. The Dem leadership today won't even pretend to lie to give you things you need to literally live. It's crowdfund begging w/o getting the crowd.

The federal government is in ruins and a rapidly escalating number of people will die, but at least rich elites got to complain about recognizing their own privilege and being told to care about other people

The pundits who hated safe spaces were proudly asserting that they were terrified and resistant to actual progress and safety and now they’re cowering in welcoming actual authoritarianism that they rolled the red carpet out for

Also CRUCIALLY the fake idea of “left-wing censorship” was still in service of PROTECTING people, being ACCURATE, and making the world a better place, while the actual real threat of right-wing censorship is about eliminating undesirables from public life, stripping rights, and causing literal death
comment in response to post
Now the same pundits who fear-mongered about left-wing censorship are going to defend their fake crusade by lying that the right-wing censorship is a response to the left’s censorship that never even happened. They’ll do revisionist history to protect their failed careers

Seriously, if you're a cis white person yelling more at marginalized people in red states or people in Dearborn or trans people or nonbinary people or disabled people or immigrants than you are at elected officials, YOU are actually the problem. YOU are.

We just got two main parties: - "Die (Slurs)" party - "Die Slow" party The bipartisan policy they always agree on is folks dying.

if that's not a line for you, you have no line and there is literally nothing you won't justify in the name of ideology
