Same. Unbelievable innit? Probably goes back to Blair, but essentially that party and its leadership are now Red Tories. And the Tories are moving towards Reform’s USP. The whole thing is fucked up, and gonna get worse, I suspect.

Have you read The Pro? A precursor to The Boys and explores similar contempt for supes. Also funny as fuck.

Can confirm… 😉

Dammit. I have a work deadline imminently. Can’t they hold off the apocalypse for a few weeks?

Sorry to hear about your previous challenges but glad all okay now. Awful news about Michelle T.; took me a while to process it as she’ll be forever young as Dawn to me.

Absolutely awful news. I’m watching Buffy and doffing my cap.

Sorry, not sorry. 🤷‍♂️

One of my best moments over the other place was mentioning the word ‘Shazam’ was an acronym way before the film came out. Minds were blown.

Out of curiosity, why are you saying that (cynically)? The article explicitly states they’re against OpenAI and on the newsstands today, literally every newspaper, even the local ones, had the same cover kicking back against it. Am I missing something?

That’s actually kinda enviable - all these amazing things you have to view. My man! Keep us posted. 👍

Crikey! First watch? You’re in for an ongoing treat… enjoy!

Unsolicited advice… 👍 ‘This was just a small purchase, nothing major.’ ‘It was a GREAT deal.’ ‘I just needed this one to complete the collection.’ ‘No, it was ALWAYS there.’ ‘It was basically free - I was spending reward points.’

Wait, what? It’s 2025?!?

I drove past him t’other week around 7.35am near the harbourside and he was suited and booted, presumably on his way to put his crown on in the counc’l louse. I did think ‘Aw bless’ for his commitment to walking, and for that reason I didn’t offer him a lift.

I like the way you think. 👍

… especially when that ill-thought-out panel was iliustrated by an artist who misinterpreted the plot. Shame. As you say, that’s what seems to be his defining characteristic these days, especially when the likes of Mark Millar get their hands on him.

Can confirm. Was literally one of the best, and most imaginative, films I saw in 2024.

I hear this on a regular basis too. Vexing.

My Welsh Nan would say “Ach-y-fi” (kinda pronounced ‘uch ah vie’) when disgusted. Somehow it’s followed me and even my daughter, who arrived decades after my Nan left us, uses it on a regular basis when in similar moments of disgust.

Yeah. Can’t disagree on the Gosling thing… 🤷‍♂️

I do accept Joaquin Phoenix would have been amazing, had he accepted the role and subsequent films, etc., though.

Dare I say, in light of the sad news, the Jam were your jam…? Sorry.

Fair enough. I’m old school and thought the Aaron run was the tail wagging the dog a little bit. For me, going back to the likes of Roger Stern and others, it’s a really good characterisation. IMO, obvs.

Good team; I, however, dig Benny C as Strange so agree to disagree. 👍

Cap, Iron Man, Luke Cage, Wolverine, Spidey, Sentry, Spiderwoman. 👍

Already here, etc. but good to ‘see’ you. 👋

If I was braver / richer, I’d be more facetious there. Ages ago there was an uplifting post about courage or summat, so I copied / pasted the lyrics to Ian Brown’s F.E.A.R. in the replies and it got mega likes and comments about it being inspirational, etc. Obviously when I was in a different role.

I saw this yesterday. I was really tempted to reply in a derogatory fuck you way, but I’m (somehow) connected to about 30 people I work with and bringing the company name into disrepute is frowned upon, so would probably get my P45 as a reward. (Plus the arsehole is probably enjoying the notoriety).

I’m no expert but I believe YouTube moved the goalposts a while back to affect new YouTubers, in that you had to get summat like at least 20k subscribers before you could even apply for monetisation. It’s probably there somewhere in the ether of the interweb.

It’s such a classic line, it deserves to be reused and brought back into the public consciousness…
