"Dear Ken, fuck off." [Texas'] demand gave the hospital until Dec. 7 to produce documents to the OAG for the agency to identify the following, including: "Protocol/guidance on how to “wean” a Texas child off gender transitioning care"

“That’s partly what is so concerning,” said Ruth A. Bourquin, senior and managing attorney for the ACLU of Massachusetts. “Police going into schools and searching for books is the sort of thing you hear about in communist China and Russia. What are we doing?” The book: _Gender Queer_.

Try North Beach then head down to the little Italian or Chinese corner grocers. Don’t be shy to ask the owners or staff!

I love this notion. A couple of weeks ago I did a tiny version of this, taking a bus from Ballard to downtown, up Capitol Hill and then to Roosevelt by light rail stations I hadn’t been to yet, back home via Metro bus. It was sooo easy.

I’ve framed and hung 4 doors in this house from scratch. Every one was an adventure in Euclidean geometry.

1906 bungalow here. What’s this “square” you speak of? Also, balls are supposed to roll to one corner, aren’t they?

One can reasonably assume that the lawyers and judges involved in this case are grown-ass adults who have seen some shit. They do not need trigger warnings, we hope!

They will, AGAIN, just snatch protestors off the streets - throw them in an unmarked van, drug them with ketamine, then dump them off in another state by the side of the road. They got really good at that and NOBODY was ever held accountable.

Here in the U.S. several (but not all) of our freight railroad crossings now have lights and gates. That only took 100 years.

Currently, I back up two media drives of my photos and music to a 10tb NAS drive in a two-bay SATA dock. I've been thinking of getting a 20tb drive as a redundant backup of the 10tb, and fill out that 2nd dock bay. I am a big believer in redundancy.

Those folks always imagine themselves as the local warlord, a gated landowner with an arsenal, or manning the barricade against the hordes after the "great reset". More than likely they'll wind up trading their children for food.

Proving that you don't rig an election by hacking the voting machines, you hack the voter registrations.

I usually put out a cup or so of cat food each morning (a type that my own cat rejects). I don't do it every day, but when I do there's the usual gang of 2-4 crows that let out a call when they see me. So far, I haven't received any gifts in return (shiny objects etc) but someday I hope they will!

My last dog loved carrots, if only for the crunch factor. Loved grapes, but was hilariously mouthy with them until you broke the skin for her. I learned, however, too many grapes aren't good for their digestion.
