TX Attorney General Ken Paxton is demanding Seattle Children's Hospital turn over medical records of any transgender Texas resident under 18 who has accessed gender-affirming care at the WA-based clinic. SCH has sued Paxton who has no authority to prosecute care accessed outside of Texas.

Wanna ban books because they’re “obscene”? Ban the Bible.
Wanna ban having a different name? Sue to have every “Tom” go by Thomas.
Etc.
So you can prove them wrong in every case and yet they'll still want to do evil.
Filing suits is difficult when you are cutting up old clothes to make gifts
(I know Democrats wouldn’t do it because they’re too afraid of what right wing media will say about them)
Paxton gets to harass SCH on the Texas taxpayers' dime. Does not even have to spend any time personally, and will probably dole out the legal work to a donor.
Winner: Paxton.
It offers little to no protection against such people. But the public generally thinks it does, a dangerous misunderstanding.

Shit, it would fast-track a goddamn multi-sided civil war.

Just because someone demands something doesn’t mean you’re obligated to reply.
[Texas'] demand gave the hospital until Dec. 7 to produce documents to the OAG for the agency to identify the following, including:
"Protocol/guidance on how to “wean” a Texas child off gender transitioning care"
However, I know for a fact that there are internal guidelines used by most hospitals that prevent this, and laws that support that in many states.
