Heyy~ So Harper has another vet visit next month on the 10th in the afternoon. I’m realizing with how little I work I will definitely need help paying for his vet bill. Here’s the first xray that sparked the “He needs a new xray of his legs! We don’t know what leg is the problem!” gofund.me/de535f26

I’m so tired of disabled people being left behind in almost every way. In education, in economics, in diversity, in equity, I could go on. With things shifting and society uprising, disabled people are usually the last to be thought of. I can’t tell you how traumatizing it is to be abandoned.

Excellent thread on eugenics & the importance of recognizing that it’s happening all around us. Everyone needs to push back. Just because the fascists aren’t targeting you does NOT mean you’re safe. Eugenicist authoritarianism harms everyone. Do not do their dirty work for them, and wear a mask!

And it's important that people realise ableism is not just discrimination against disabled folks, but an entire set of ways of relating and thinking which privileges even the IDEA of ability as somehow superior, while framing those not meeting the ableist ideal as LESSER.

I wanted to share a pill trick that I use with the cats - if they need several small pills I tuck them all into a plain gel capsule. Lubricate with a little canned food or churu and I can get them all in one go instead of multiple pillings. 1/2

Don't post AI slop. And if you repost by mistake, as I've done, delete it. When you have something to say and attach AI art, you're undercutting your message and hurting artists. Pay or barter for art. There's a reason good things cost money and take time. AI art is harmful and it looks like ass.

Ok so here's what I'm mad about today. The invisibility of disabled people. There are invisible disabilities (altho frankly they are not that invisible, we're just working our asses off hiding them) but you can be hella obvious and people don't notice.
