What's the point of being on power, either now or after the next election, if you don't use the power you've been granted by the electorate. It's a lot of effort for essentially nothing otherwise

Or are you questioning why there are so few male classroom teachers yet lots of male leaders? Same factors as in other sectors again, confidence, gender stereotypes etc. prob worth still asking why there are so few male classroom teachers full stop as well

Are you questioning the disparity between the number of females in teaching roles and the number of females in leadership roles? I imagine the same barriers to career progression exist as in other sectors of the economy ie being a working parent, lack of self confidence/belief etc

Exactly this. Labour need an attack dog in the style of Tebbit. Starmer's technocracy is not fit for purpose in 2025. Surely, Mcsweeney can see this?

As an autistic teacher and a parent of an autistic daughter, I agree with you wholeheartedly. It is a mission to support other parents, in all meanings of the word, rather than just something we need to do as a job.
