Ah yes, the autistic kinks: Validation, shared experience, active listening, direct communication and emotional availability🌈✨️

Something is shifting. They are still breaking things and stealing things. And they will keep trying to break and to steal. But the propaganda magic around the oligarchical coup is fading. (1/2)

Functional Conflict Perspective (FCP) bridges Marxist conflict theory & Durkheimian functionalism, viewing conflict as a self-regulating mechanism rather than a dysfunction. It emphasizes #traumainformed systems change, relational healing. #FCP #SystemsTheory spirolateral.org/2025/02/22/a...

If reincarnation into a fantasy world is possible, we all deserve to be reborn into such worlds. I have said this before but it needs to be said again. That said, we can’t ignore the need to keep living in this world, trying to live, trying to fight for what’s right, and make sure to take time to

The world is at a tipping point. The Restorative Systems Movement (RSM) exists to heal and transform dysfunctional systems, replacing them with regenerative, trauma-informed, and cooperative models that prioritize collective well-being. #RSM #healtheworld #ecojustice is #socialjustice

Social skills programs tend to teach autistic people "that they have to become normal in order to have friends. It’s not true. There are a lot of autistic people who have friends without becoming remotely normal. Oddness and friendship are entirely compatible." realsocialskills.org/2017/10/04/a...

A new blog post is up. I would love your thoughts. spirolateral.org/2025/02/21/w...

Autism isn’t something to be “cured” or “treated.” It is for this reason that autistics need full support throughout their life - support that is free of encumbersome allistic expectations.

So when you say "long live the king" my autistic butt just recalls that that's exactly what the VILLAIN in the The Lion King says just before he kills the rightful ruler and destroys the kingdom for everyone except the lions and the predatory hyenas.

Now that I'm finally diagnosed, I see a lot of things that come from beeing audhd, and Im afraid of telling people, because they will just say "I shouldn't make excuses". Like ignoring the fact that I've been struggling my whole life, and now i just have an explanation

I don’t know if it’s autistic burnout, peri, trauma, or some combination thereof, but I swear small talk has only gotten *harder* as I’ve gotten older. So much awkwardness! And I have to squelch the impulse to apologize because that only makes it worse! 🫣

The new eugenics EO that is circulating stating things like autism, adhd, autoimmune disorders and such is the biggest threat to America is disgusting. And disgusting is not even a big enough word for it. When suddenly your child becomes "the biggest threat" simply for being born different...I cant.

I'm beginning to realize that the more I unapologetically unmask, the more I realize the NT community is not as accommodating as I once believed. #autistic

Something frustrating about socializing while autistic is that I can sense my attempts at being courteous and approachable may read as "inauthentic" or disingenuous, seeming odd or stilted, lacking enthusiasm. But my gestures are earnest; I just have to work a bit harder than others to make them.

To me, I'd describe an autistic shutdown as like the brain having too many thoughts at once to the point it can barely process speaking, and your body struggles to respond to any command for it to move

The autistic experience of having everyone vent to you but no one to vent to #whynow

I love how the two ways to view Autism is either it's a horoscope or your brain is inferior

Fake it till you make it? Nah, but I know the autistic fake it till you get chronic stress and anxiety that leads to CPTSD and autoimmune disease as you get older and keep dissociating because you’ve been trained and expected to act like a neurotypical despite it hurts your whole existence.

We have many expressions for the pain of loss—heartache, a broken heart, a punch in the gut. These aren't just figures of speech; grief is both an emotional and physical experience. In today’s episode, why grief hurts. Listen here 🎧: https://buff.ly/4bbMqCI

Make your voices loud. Amplify each other until we harmonize in unison. When it gets dark, we start singing. 🎶 🎵🐦#tweettweetmotherfucker #tweettweet #CanaryInACoalMine #autistic #autisticcommunity #autism #AutisticVoices #neurodivergent #neurodiversity #socialmodelofdisability #socialmodel

Soft launching my autism in the mental health assessment when they ask ‘What gives you strength? What are you good at? What gives your life meaning?’ and my honest answer to all of the above is ‘spreadsheets’

A must have for any comrade. Gilles Deluze and FĂŠlix Guattari, Anti-Oedipus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia. Western society's innate herd instinct has allowed the government, the media, and even the principles of economics to take advantage of each person's unwillingness to be cut off from the group.

Being autistic is so funny cos you’ll tell people and they’ll be like ‘thats fine!’ and then you display autistic behaviours and they’re like ewwwwww

People are stuck in strange counterproductive loops. But they don’t have to be. SpiroLateral breaks the cycle—replacing rigid, linear systems with adaptive, decentralized solutions that actually work. 💡 Escape the loop. Build the future. #SpiroLateral #FractalThinking www.spirolateral.org

Humanity is not trapped in a linear cycle. It is only trapped in the belief that it is trapped. www.spirolateral.org

The assumption that post-agricultural society is irreversibly “stuck” in hierarchy and class stratification is itself a product of hierarchical thinking—viewing history as a one-way descent rather than a landscape of recursive possibilities.

Transformation isn’t accidental—it’s something we design through trauma-informed, regenerative, and cooperative models. I've translated my theoretical work into a practical, high-impact consulting platform! spirolateral.org I can assist you in meeting your personal, organizational, or global goals.

If you can’t handle my inner warrior, then you aren’t worthy of my soft side (and vice versa).

Makes me kinda sad to see people distance themselves or their children from level 1 autistics

One of the unintended consequences of suppressing my ADHD and bringing back my full blown autism is that it’s made me a massive geek that wants to stay in. Like my teens. I go out and see friends but as soon as I’m done I can’t wait to be back. And I used to hate it in this room!

I keep coming back to this idea that it isn't that autistic people don't pick up on social cues, we do, we just think the social cues are stupid. Maybe I don't want to join a clique, or shit talk other women, or make myself small to accommodate male egos I'd rather be by myself.

One reason there are "more" autistic/ADHD kids "these days" is that so many of us know better and are parenting better than our parents did and aren't trying to beat and traumatize the neurodivergence out of kids.

Remember, folks, the #1 cause of #autism is autistics having kids. In “the old days”, it was called being eccentric (among other things). It still existed even if there wasn’t an official diagnosis for it.

As a neurodivergent whose “special interest” is “politics” the social model of disability and autism in particular which emphasises that to alleviate disablement requires radically changed society, not just individual psychological or medical solutions. These are the ideas I will be exploring.

Autism's a spectrum Neurodivergence is, too People aren't worth less If they don't think like you Happy Valentine's Day💗 #Neurodiversity
