Then I wished the agent good luck in finding another job that didn't involve working for Nazis.

Today I called the Post's subscription department and told them I'd done so and to cancel the account - again - and gave my reason for cancelling as "your owner Jeff Bezos is a Nazi and has turned the paper into a Nazi mouthpiece."

"replacing him with a little-known retired general" who *lacks the actual legal qualifications for the post* and has been spoken of by the Mango Mussolini himself as a loyalist willing to break military regs and even "kill for (him)". I realize that you're trying not to be inflammatory, but...

If I thought they were taking responsibility for it I'd agree with you.

Oh, it's just Carville. Has he advised a winning campaign in the US since 1992?

No hug involved, this is just Mango Mussolini's "power handshake" where he tries to pull the other person off balance. This guy just extended his arm into the pull, so Mango tried to grab his elbow with the other arm and then realized he was THAT CLOSE to a black person.

Both you and Bujold write real gods who want humans to be happy, where "happy" doesn't necessarily mean "obedient to a bunch of arbitrary rules that often go against human nature, were at least partially if not mostly made up by humans to control other humans, & enforced in a really horrid fashion."

2/2 Yeah, he was several orders of magnitude more advanced than current LLMs, but seemed to have at least some of the same vulnerabilities.

I think that HAL 9000, especially given the exposition in "2010", is an example of just the sort of malfunction you are talking about. HAL had two conflicting directives which, when applied to his "training set", caused him to hallucinate solutions that turned out, well, murdery.

I like both, and it seems like if you don't post the political stuff here, there's a bigger chance of missing it as the enshittification of FarceBook continues.

Apparently they're having a few issues with the influx. I'm seeing you as Invalid Handle. 😸
