What bats do you think are out there? I like Eugenio Suarez but Bohm was one of their better June hitters. Brian Reynolds? Adolis Garcia? Taylor Ward?

Well at least our bullpen is rested now.

Probably not. But it's at least somewhat enticing given scarcity and looking at the team's current zero-WAR outfield. Plus you can probably get Pittsburgh to throw in a reliever.

If the Phillies aren't concerned about the money, the Pirates might want to get out of the Brian Reynolds contract. Then you bet on him returning to 2024 form and being energized by theoretically a better cast of hitters around him.

I don't think there's ever been a single acting nomination from a Wes Anderson film, which is just bonkers.

It's Ralph Fiennes' greatest performance, IMO, which is not something to be said lightly.

There just aren't bats out there.
One of the more intriguing possibilities is whether the Pirates would sell low on Brian Reynolds right now, since he's owned $15M a year for the next five years. It would still take a very good prospect or two.

OTOH none of the hitting prospects, IMO, are going to help this core win a championship. Crawford is Rojas 2.0. Miller will be maybe an above-average #7 hitter on a good team. Tait is years ago. I agree on not trading pitching prospects, but if those hitters can get you help now....

Over a couple years he's gone from being the #4 or #5 guy in the bullpen, where he was great, to -- because of the Phillies' mistakes -- being asked to be the #2 guy, where he's miscast.

Sigh. The Phillies have been running in quicksand for three years now in LF and CF. I'm sure they dreamed that Marsh might take a step forward and by October could start vs. LH and RH but that won't be the case. As much as bullpen comes first and second, they need a RH power platoon bat for LF or CF

And they got a two-time Oscar winner to lead it.
For the love of Mike, can we get some real scripts in front of Mahershala Ali??

Why can't we just cut to the chase and get a straightforward team-up movie where M3GAN, Chucky and Babadook hunt down a villainous cabal of transphobes.

I'd really like them to re-sign him, though I know the rotation is going to be super full next year

Phillies should pay the prospect price.

We really don't appreciate the Phillies' SP enough. They have 4 guys you be pretty happy to give the ball in a Game 7, and depth after that. Most teams, even the good ones, are really scrambling after their top 3. Cubs have little choice but to keep giving Brown the ball.
