Having good comms people who vet and filter out bad faith requests like this before faculty are even interviewed is vital. I’ve worked with a few who put researchers in some really bad and avoidable spots over the years.

Give Canada the Midwest now. Except Ohio, they stay.

I will vote for the first candidate who tells me they're going to make the biggest government possible. Reacher-sized agencies. Braun Strowman-level social benefits. Government so big it starts belching out National Parks and free healthcare. Chungus State.

is masculinity when you never stop fucking whining about everything? that seems to be the vance demo

Trying to imagine a world in which we ended up with Kluwe as the eccentric former great punter who is on TV every day instead of dumbass McAfee.

This is so awful. Andy is a hilarious follow, and was so instrumental in the early days of sports blogging and social media in helping MANY of us build our own followings and share our work.

Call for IMMEDIATE action: LCSH is officially proposing changes from "Mexico, Gulf of" to "America, Gulf of" and "Denali" to "Mt. Mckinley": classweb.org/tentative-su... Send feedback to [email protected] by TODAY, Tuesday, February 18, to oppose these changes

I live in Flint, MI and love it here, but basically any place in suburban Genesee County is a nightmare. My brother is biracial and played high school basketball and got called the n-word by adults in the crowd in Swartz Creek and Clio.

Still remember when he came into Flint saying he could fix the water. He could've paid to replace every pipe in the city while probably not even making a noticeable dent in his net worth.

I'm mostly a Draymond apologist, but man, him going from a guy upset a few years ago that the previous gen of players do nothing but criticize the game to very quickly becoming one of them himself is super disappointing and I'm glad Oscar cooked him for his hypocrisy.

SNL 50 helped jog a long-forgotten memory of when I was around 8 and my mom briefly dated a Blues Brothers impersonator who used to stop by our house in costume after his gigs.

If you're in Southeast Michigan, this set of resources I've compiled have a lot of organizations working to protect those under threat from the new administration.

Begging any reporter with access to Adam Silver to ask any of these questions.

Time for another call to my senators I guess. I sorta knew Slotkin would be bad, but Peters announcing he’s not running again and STILL voting for these people is beyond embarrassing.

Miss the St. John doc on WKAR Tuesday? How dare you? Anyway, it'll be airing again tonight at 10 PM on WKAR and its available on the PBS app and at this handy link: www.pbs.org/video/st-joh... It's been getting lots of positive responses, so make sure you check this little known story about Flint

Legal sports betting has degraded sports in every single way -- media covering gambling more than they cover games/athletes, fans harassing players as James details in-depth below, people actually ruining their lives w/ gambling addictions ... there's really no justification for this to exist.

Whole country teetering on the brink of collapse thanks to a bunch of divorced men who can't get over it, boy I tell you what

Last week, I contacted my rep in Congress, Kristen McDonald Rivet, to express my frustration with her vote in favor the Laken Riley Act. Here is the totally unsatisfactory response I got, promising more "bipartisanship."

Mahomes playing like he really was a Tuberville recruit

Fun youth coaching moment: MSU legend Antonio Smith refs your 5th grader’s basketball game and compliments how well she’s using screens on her drives. Less fun but still funny moment: When he has to hold her back for wildly swinging at a girl who fouled her pretty hard three times in a row.

Watching Coen Carr in warmups, it’s even more apparent what a freak athlete he is and Tom Izzo has a moral responsibility to turn him into an NBA player.

I dunno if that was Pistons great Andre Drummond in the chat but I really hope so 😂

There is, infamously, some pretty dangerous weather in the international waters surrounding Michigan. Once again: water doesn't stop flowing at the border. Our #GreatLakes are a shared resource that needs protection. And like far too many things right now, this is absurd and dangerous nonsense.

Wild officiating in this Pistons-Cavs game tonight.

“Tristan Thompson is doing a lot of talking for a guy who hasn’t played in a month.” George Blaha is the best.

Tom Izzo wearing a half zip with no undershirt is honestly psychotic behavior.

I will watch any basketball game ever, but it’s still so insane to me that we have Midwest college kids playing in west coast time on a week night, and the quality of play reflects that.
