Do you seriously think that we have the time and space to engage the whole country and all of Europe in a re-entry to the EU - there’s a literal war on !

He’s saying no such thing. He’s talking about how Trump is really changing things. And at pace. He politely caveats it with he doesn’t agree what and how, but the point about the UK wanting speedy change and not feeling like it gets it is true. Everyone is telling KS to own it. Here he is.

That’s a massive overreaction

Labour are dealing with the issues and implementing the recommendations- the issue is the foreign attack on democracy and the tacit support Reform and the Tories are giving that !

Not sure how you equate being anti Brexit with being MORE left wing ? Corbyn and his ilk (and Billy Bragg) all Brexiteirs

Contrast Ed Davey at PMQs - he and KS clearly trying to get some balance and respect back into politics. CL could try doing the same

‘Pulls their socks up’ so pejorative! They’ve been in 4 months ffs. “ Need to deliver change” - fair point / ‘need to pull their socks “ Aka they’re rubbish. Creating the negativity and polarisation extremism thrives on.

Part of the anti Government narrative - “Starmer isn’t a reformer; nothing’s going by to change; same old establishment whoever you vote for”. Exactly the Brexit/Trump/Farage lines (that Caroline so willingly trots out without any nuance or care). Not nonsense sadly

BTW. The last budget DID have record levels of investment in public services funded by record levels of tax on the most wealthy - so I think even the facts aren’t with her

Again - this is just a Tory line. They don’t have to deliver ‘Very quickly’ because as you say they have “one term”. They’ve got 5 years to deliver. And most can see they’ve already started. So let’s all calm down and get on with serious stuff

Exactly what I thought. Definitely elements that are reactionary. Not saying I don’t agree or he doesn’t always contextualise them in a general acceptance (opposite of Ricky G): but occasional boomer cliche crept in (which is unlike him - but now is all of Ricky G’s set haha)
