I struggled at the airport at 4:45am, but held strong and didn’t buy a cappucino.

I’ll be at the airport at 5am, but will forego coffee till I get home many hours later.

I’m with him. I severed my connection today too (cancelled my subscription).

I’ve been meaning to cancel my subscription for awhile - due specifically to Bezos interference. I like Alexandra Petrie and Eugene Robinson so have hung on. Today is cancellation day. Totally disgusted at his infringement on free speech of readers.

Because the media either chooses not to do their job or doesn’t know how to do the job.

Hopefully trying to figure out how to combat the shredding of our democracy when it is supported by billionaires and media.

Mr. Greenblatt is a little late - and mild - in his pushback.

First amendment and she’s a citizen. It’s a ridiculous statement on his part and should be ignored.

Thank you for this. The blaming is so counter productive. It’s important to learn what went wrong, what we can do better…..which can be done without blame. More important in the moment to cone together and deal with the situation.

It’s also driving our massive cultural and socials divide. Literally tearing the fabric of our country to pieces.

Good for him. Much appreciation for doing what’s right.

I like threads. Don’t use Facebook (found it toxic for years now). I’ll probably be leaving Threads after this decision though.

Run non profits. Most gifts/donations haven’t provided long term sustainability for us. What they have done supporters to successfully work for people with disabilities for 30 years.

She’s a musician and singer….how is singing not in her lane? Should writers only write one genre? Actors only appear in the same kind of movie? Artists create - in whatever genre they are inspired to create in.

Totally agree. The texts are most annoying to me. I would’ve donated no matter what because I thought it was important, but the texts and emails really turned me off. Felt like harassment.

The press is failing us.

Could this be from around the time he was taking care of his dying wife? I think Raskin is the right choice right now. Nadler has served for a long time…appreciation for that.

Exactly. It can’t be that republicans just do what they want regardless of norms and we hold all the norms.

Weird and mean spirited - gratuitous cruelty does nothing to move us forward as a country.

As a woman I’m totally comfortable with trans women being in a restroom I’m in. In fact, I come across unisex restrooms all the time, which is also fine with me.

We’re all voters….they should respect all of us.

What a disappointment. They will normalize…they are. This kind of capitulation will be our final u doing….people will be complacent & comfortable and just go along.

I worry that everyone will adjust to it. Just like many adjusted to the overt racism and the lack of shame.

This is one of my biggest worries right now.

We also can’t become comfortable and complacent. We need to keep speaking up and working for what we believe in. I worry that more people will just start to go along.

They could talk about it every second of every day….if the media doesn’t amplify the message it won’t break through.

Hard to believe one podcast would’ve made the difference (unless it didn’t go well).
