I was at that match..possibly my best ever away..went down in a minibus, had a good laugh & a few pints with the locals (who were more interested in a rugby cup match taking place the same day). Managed to avoid the trouble before heading back to the same pub and then back home via Monmouth. UTFT!💙

I had a season ticket when he played for us. Really thought he'd go on to be a real star for us but injuries put paid to his career at Everton. Always remember this match in which he got our 2nd..2 nil up and we lose 2:3!! The footage is on YouTube, I think..
