There should be a rule.
“If you need to use a helicopter to visit a food bank, don’t visit the food bank.”
This rule should apply to everyone - visitors or users.

Your reminder that they didn’t just fail, but the there was an actual PM who thought that child abuse investigations was akin to “spaffing money up the wall”.

When I saw the photo, my first thought was that he looks like he’s lost his “precious”.

lol. I don’t.
But that individual would have spent time becoming a frog breed expert. Educated themselves on amphibians and acquired their collection through dedication and knowledge.
Agency in their pride.
I think you’re getting it at last.

I just don’t get how someone can feel such a sense of accomplishment for being a “white British man” over anything else they may have achieved.
It seems sad to me that someone feels such pride in things they had no influence over.

Flags. Skin colour. Location of birth.
Other things you have no agency over - but, apparently as as adult, would seem to engender a feeling of pride.

I have no control over whether I have a nose.
How can I be “proud” of something I have zero agency in having or being? Like being British and white.
The only reason I could think you could think that these are reasons to feel pride is if you have literally nothing else achieved to be proud of.

I love friends.
I love family.
I’m not sure I can extend “love” to a piece of fabric.
Still, takes all sorts!

Not sure who benefits from people being proud of something that they had no agency in.
I’m proud to have a nose! Yay me.

Would you be proud of someone who won the lottery?

Just baffled how anyone can be proud of something that they had no agency in, and that is simply an accident of where you were born.

The last but one PM wasn’t born in Britain!
You literally proudly declare you’re a “white man” in your bio.
And seem unsure whether someone not white who was born here is indigenous.
But ok.

Still dodged the question.
But nice way of using research to say, “I think the UK should be white” without saying “I think the UK should be white”. Well done.

“Indigenous Brits”?
Saxons? Pagans? French?
Or is this secret code for “white”?
Also, how can “patriots” support trashing all the British things I listed? You missed that from your response.

Hilariously these “patriots” are now claiming Charles isn’t their king, the government (following a democratic election) need removing, people who were born here need deporting, and that a foreign billionaire should be allowed to influence our politics.
They just “care”, right?

That may have been the case when people thought that if they didn’t see it in theatres they’d have to wait 6 months to see the movie.
With a 4 week window, if you go after week 2, you’re into single-digit days to being able see the movie at home.
Many more will turn away from theatres.

CwacoM (as no one is calling it) doesn’t get a fraction of the love it deserves. Original, great characters, quotable and very, very funny. Albeit I was on a plane, one of the few films I’ve started again immediately after it finished.

I don’t know what’s scarier, losing nuclear weapons, or that it happens so often there’s actually a term for it.

When told to dance by Trump, all Musk can remember from the simple dance is YYYY.

Same. Just seeing the same hateful people literally paying to spread their bile. Then realising that I hadn’t seen anything from people I actually follow.

Classic example: I made a post on a thread that had 200+ replies and the topic was trending.
24 hours later my response had only been seen by 1 person. AND I had 1500 followers as well.
Blue ticks rule over there. It’s ruined the channel.

Apparently they are both “town squares.”
The one is a place where people gather, enjoy life, debate, share interests and have a laugh.
Then there’s Musk’s square where people hurl abuse at each other, promote hate, and claim they’re being repressed when people tell them they’re being nasty.
