It's literally as this headline says. What good is coming from choosing to talk about Farage's no.1 issue? You aren't going to outflank them and you're losing decent liberal people. All that Hero Voters guff. Tell the positive strong of immigration.

I'm not necessarily saying they aren't. But the pandering to the same awful people the Tories pandered to is extremely disheartening.

This is the best, funniest thing happening in football and if anything, it needs more discussion.

Yes, and the LDs and Greens are generally NIMBY, so if you're in favour of building and on the left then you're politically homeless.

You don't need to note it. We all understand on BlueSky how generalisations and majorities work, so you're fine.

I've always thought the Treasury would propose cuts, Ministers would go and argue their corner, get reductions and then for his stuff Pickles would be like "yeah, sounds good". And no-one from local govt. was around to give their side.

Might have to spend some of it on defence?

Yeah, motorised or semi-auto is too far I agree.

Them: Have you ever wondered how Q got her name?
Me: No.
Them: Boy, do we have just the TV series for you.

They are saying both sides are saying the same thing. No confusion.

One thing Trump has been consistent on the entire time is never being critical of Putin.
So I don't see a change of direction.

You mean since this morning? More drivel I'd assume.

Very much the former. Private Eye did a piece that pulled all her stuff together. Massive lickspittle.

Thank you for this. The thought did cross my mind but wasn't sure of the rules.

That's more like it.
Sort of.

Certainly not getting a bed up there with that attitude Colin. 😁

Enjoying they just call it first/top floor room. Have the courage of your convictions and call something a bedroom.

A rare bit of good news!

Yes, I can't blame you one bit.
Would like a good UK equivalent but we mostly seem to go for a magazine format and I want one pod on a one film, as I only ever listen once I've seen the film.

I love an American pod called Blank Check and they have indeed gone 3 hours again this week for ET.
They sometimes seem to revel in the length, where I feel it's a bit rude to your audience.
But the majority of their audience seems to love it and have no interest in editing.

I had to laugh when an American podcast that goes track by track through an album, one song per episode spoke about "short episodes" and they were about as long as a typical British podcast.

I'll happily have a look.

Yes, obviously current system not fit for purpose.
Bit confused you say it's progressive and then admit it's not a message later.
A property tax should be based on property wealth.
comment in response to

Their pensions are high, but not as high as someone working. Tax unearned wealth.
(Your idea isn't progressive btw.)

And who would that benefit?
The boomer generation who took out more than they paid in and enjoyed the low house prices. We already tax income, we need a Land Value Tax.
comment in response to
post
The median taxpayer needs to pay more. That's the long and the short of it. By all means do the things you say but taxes need to rise as well.

Not a superhero movie, just a really bad political thriller. Remember Marvel movies were actually quite funny? They've stamped all that out.
Apparently Esposito was added basically after it had finished shooting. 🥴

You don't want to *sack* the people that keep the plane safe, you want to *keep* the people that make the plane safe.

Creates a cliff edge as well. Trying to sell a house and being told in mid-January they wanted to complete before 31/3. Yeah, that's not realistic is it, we need to find somewhere now.

Well I'll say one thing, I remember the ending of The Mist very clearly, despite not having seen it since close to it's release. With my memory, that in itself is very much in its favour.

I bet! Seems there was a 2014 revival but that was just past the period of me going to the theatre constantly and I didn't see it.

I listen to Blank Check podcast, they are currently doing early Spielberg, and it's really interesting to occasionally hear them talk about how the BAFTA in 198x went to some great British film I've never seen or this 1970s actor had 3 BAFTAs.

Actual Reform vote for the young in 2024 was the lowest of any demo, think it was 9%, so I'm raising an eyebrow at that.
