Nick Clegg is not just across THREE pages in the first edition of the new Observer, he’s actually cited in the leader: that’s the voice of the newspaper that exemplifies and articulates its values & principles.
Values that include shilling for big tech & not caring where the money comes from?

I know it’s reserved. You’ve ignored my question. Why does the party of independence not say they would nationalise energy? It’s a straightforward question.

And the facts that make Scottish bills higher - poor access to the gas grid, reliance on electricity and oil - would still be an issue in an independent Scotland.

It’s not about transmission! I’m probably more left wing than you will ever be. I would love for the UK to have nationalised energy. But it doesn’t, and still has nothing to do with my original reply.

Okay. Why don’t the SNP want nationalised energy?

Again, go back to my original reply.

No no no 😂. Where is your chart from?

I wasn’t being rude. I’ve lived in Scotland for 25 years. It isn’t about transition. It’s about poor access to the gas grid. Your initial post was factually wrong and a saltire in your bio won’t change that.

Another straw man. Read my reply again. Scotland only pays more because of non-standard fuel use. You’re making a claim about how things might be if Scotland was independent. It isn’t.

This is a straw man. It has nothing to do with the original post and my reply. The assumption is that Scotland is independent which it isn’t.

And that is one of the most ridiculous charts I’ve ever seen. Where is it from?

Wherever you’ve got that from doesn’t change a single thing I said in my reply.

Saying Scotland has higher energy bills is misleading. Overall Scotland pays more because it has less access to the gas network and relies more on non-standard fuel. Scotland receives subsidies from all fuel consumers to partly mitigate this.

You might remember that I congratulated you on winning your seat on election day. I had huge hopes for your contribution to government based upon your work at RF. How stupid was I? Your defence of the welfare reforms is abhorrent. Shame on you. #Labour #PIP
