This is @melbuer.bsky.social on Sean’s account, posting here since it’s his video: the moment that Sean and @ryannemena.bsky.social were injured by what may have been a tear gas canister fired from a line of HSI officers in Paramount, CA.

🎶 if he’ll drive you to the crime then he’s a fed if he’ll drive you to the crime then he’s a fed If he’ll drive you to the crime, you’re gonna do the time if he’ll drive you to the crime then he’s a fed 🎶

What's going on in LA should be a real wakeup call for folks who don't already know that a fully liberal government can still wind up a police state and without some major change to the way we talk about the militarization of policing, nothing will get better

actually they all decided to come to Buenos Aires this weekend, weird!

I know this is divisive but I don't think we need to pay anybody to run over American citizens with cars for the crime of trying to stop mass kidnappings.

Our weekly post for @dailykos.com /Black Kos of books published this week of interest to Black readers (but also recommended for ALL readers!): www.dailykos.com/comments/232... Authors and illustrators who are on Bluesky listed in the comment 🧵 #Booksky #blackbooksky

A historical fact, admitted in their own analyses, is that after one night of major demonstrations in 2020 the Asheville Police Department could no longer hold the city. They had to call in support from other counties. After a second night those were exhausted and they called the national guard.

Sean is an independent journalist who has contributed to multiple outlets in California. He has done extensive protest coverage and has the best reporting on the ongoing situation in Paramount that I have seen on Bluesky.

kind of just endlessly sad and grieving that there are so few voices in the public sphere making the basic principled argument that immigration is an affirmative good in every way and the best way for this country to serve humanity is to welcome people who want or need to leave their homes

An amazing Young Center supporter named Patrick walked 100 miles barefoot this week to raise awareness & $17k for our work w/unaccompanied immigrant kiddos. Then Carlos Eduardo Espina, amazing TikTok guy, shared Patrick's fundraiser and got it to $32k. Help keep things going on TikTok w/a repost? 😊

#narrativedisorder alert, paging all readers of @older.bsky.social's INFOMOCRACY

This is critical to maintaining functional government and basic protections for qualified federal workers to keep their jobs through retaliatory administrations. In other words, this helps protect workers and democracy. Please add your comment in opposition. We don’t need more cronyism and nepotism.

you may not like it but this is what 2 high agency males look like

Listen, @pazsays.bsky.social seems like a delight, and her book, THE SHAMSHINE BLIND, will knock your socks off and make it so you never look at colors the same way again, so maybe check out this interview and buy her book?

any democrat who suggests embracing Musk should be forced to wrap put their arms around the man and tell us what he smells like

I think about this article all the time

Across the government, the Trump administration is scrambling to rehire many federal employees dismissed under DOGE’s staff-slashing initiatives after wiping out entire offices, in some cases imperiling key services such as weather forecasting and the drug approval process.

there is much less to all this than meets the eye

Another morning in this dumb ass country
