Every day, the goals become clearer: The point of DOGE is not efficiency, but regime change www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

Great. 🤦🏻‍♀️

The single greatest failure of the Democrats was not investigating this election.

Could someone out there write a definitive guide on convenient alternatives to using Amazon.com for goods and books and whatnot? Asking for some folks who don’t want to see democracy die in darkness.

Just had to share this! 🤣🤣🤣

Hey DOGE - If you’re really looking to curb government waste, I’ve got a project for you.

Elon Musk claims he post's DOGE's actions to their website for full transperency. This is all that is on the website currently: doge.gov

This needs more play.

This. Make it hard for the Republicans to destroy the country.

Hi fed friends. A few things to keep in mind: Keep an eye out for new software on your computers Assume that your gov devices are being monitored Assume calls are being recorded and chats reviewed Ok. Have a great paranoia-free evening! But seriously. Be smart. Keep calm and carry on. ☕

To America’s 2.3 million federal employees: Don’t accept a buyout. Neither Musk nor even Trump has the legal authority to make such an offer. And even if they did, would you trust them to follow through on it? Sincerely, Robert Reich Former U.S.Secretary of Labor

I see more criticism here of Democrats in Congress than I do condemnation of Republicans. And yet it is the GOP who are enabling Trump. It tells me a lot when I see you regularly bash our side but say nothing, ever, about the other. Reflect on your choices. You may be helping the fascists.

Same was true in Poland

Now would be a good time to freeze your credit, if you haven’t done so.

I appreciate Democrats doing *something* but also want to see this same energy taking on how Musk’s extreme actions at Treasury may threaten the Social Security of working Americans. Democrats have to connect the dots on *why* Musk is doing this and how it could hit our pocketbooks.

Murphy: "This is a constitutional crisis that we are in today. Let's call it what it is."

Good. Now ask why the hell Speaker Johnson & Senate Majority Leader Thune are doing nothing while a random civilian runs amok violating Congress' powers & laws.

JUST IN: A federal judge in Washington says she's concerned that the White House is still implementing the spending freeze that she and a Rhode Island judge have ordered temporarily halted. Judge AliKhan is inclined to issue a restraining order.

I suspect USAID is first because it's "foreign aid" and fewer Americans will object. But once the precedent is established, expect unilateral dismantling of domestic institutions too

Why only 100? Why not 500?

All of this from @pastpunditry.bsky.social. The crisis is not *legible*. Even politically attentive people have no idea - the media are not conveying the scope and magnitude of what's happening. It has to be made legible through political and institutional resistance, not passivity and resignations.

Time to accept that we simply have a mad king. The guy slapping 25% tariffs on Canada's postage while calling for its annexation - and releasing scarce water into the Central Valley to fight already-contained fires in LA - isn't doing a bit or pursuing a secret, rational strategy

It’s a coup. That’s what’s happening. It doesn’t matter if it’s only been two weeks. Impeachable offenses aren’t like wine. They don’t need to age.

Among the USAID reports now taken offline by Elon Musk's "Doge" is the one I used on Tuesday to prove the US has spent exactly $0 on condoms for Gaza, not $50 million — false information the White House press secretary said she got from Elon Musk's "Doge" www.theguardian.com/us-news/live...
