That’s so sweet!
Mine was really great. Cleaned the house and finally got the Christmas tree taken down. Starting a new semester tomorrow so I’m feeling really pumped. One step closer to my degree!

Worst still, most people think shrieking spheres only have a lifespan of 15 years. In reality, poor diet and little enrichment lead to premature death.

Seriously. I need Bluesky to get a bit more personality besides “this place is so great”. Otherwise it’ll just be Reddit minus what actually makes Reddit worthwhile.

I hope you realize how meaningful it is that you sign so many of your books. Finding a signed copy of Turtles All the Way Down was such a pleasant surprise, and it made a book that was already super special to me even more special. Thanks, YouTube sensation John Green

Problem 3.
Doubts about autonomy
You have no choice in who you are, and thus you have no free will
(Idk about this one girly pops, but I’m doing my best)
End of thread.

Problem 2.
Doubts about rationality:
Kant thought that morality should be about hard facts and rules, but can it be entirely removed from emotions?
Implies that people with more rationality should have more rights, which is a ridiculous point

Version 2 (cont.)
Using people as a means dehumanizes them
Problems for Kant:
1. Morality is not absolute :O
Lying to protect innocent people is a moral good, is it not? Sometimes the consequences COUNT.
Kant says that your intentions matter more than the consequences of your action.

Categorical Imperative:
Version 1- The Principle of Universalizability (justice and fairness)
Only do something if you think it is how everyone should act
Version 2- The Principle of Humanity (autonomy and respect
Humans are not just a means to an end; they are an end in and of themselves
