Making no impact on their presence in AI tools despite the presentation by outlets like the Atlantic.

Learning about it from this post, this feels like a double whammy. The books have already been vacuumed into every AI tool, and now the search index is going to be used to remove access to papers/books by actual students and researchers.

Nothing about what you said is specific to WebP, and it was never meant *only* for webdev You may be able to make that argument for something like FUIF/JPEGXL with the progressive levels of decoding, but WebP isn't doing anything web-specific Software support being the issue just backs me up

How is it not meant for personal use though This feels a lot more like an issue with the software people use and less with the format itself, since you could apply the logic to any newish format

Equivalent ""jobs"" are a lot more rewarding on other platforms. Not sure why your being obtuse pretending this is about content creation when the comparison is obviously there considering Hank is a youtube mainstay.

Like back in the day when blip or dailymotion were used and started to fade, the only real issue was moving archives. The content and creators were still there afterwards.

I think even a local filter would go a long way if the backend is too difficult to execute on in a short timeframe

Damn, that's OG Not sure if it was just my area, but never knew a soul with a Master System Plenty with NES/Genesis and later, but seems like the MS-1000 just skipped over my region of suburban Ontario

Less populated platform -> Discovery feed pushing low-engagement, non-curated posts -> a more mixed audience of non-followers being served your content I'd imagine
