btw, i will tell you this - i have been talking to people all day, and the media is missing, whether intentionally or not, how absolutely, volcanically angry the people who have been fired are, not because they lost their jobs, but because their jobs matter, *to us*

The Republic Endures

He thinks most Americans still have never heard of OMB or their websites and he’s 100% correct

Shoresy could scare this motherfucker back to the US with a single one liner about the guy's mom

Difficult to stress how much it's complete psycho shit to indiscriminately fire hundreds of thousands of young poorly paid federal employees who probably uprooted their entire lives and moved to take jobs in service of their country for absolutely no reason.

I know so many talented young people who decided to pursue careers in public service in the past year and were excited to receive jobs in the federal government. It’s just sickening to see how they are being treated. We are losing people who were working hard on our behalf.

I think it's bad that they're attempting to create what functionally amounts to a dual power structure of political commissars who have power over congressionally approved heads of federal agencies if I'm being for real with you guys.

this is a world historical act of vandalism

In preview of my Monday morning piece, I'm going to say a little bit about why this is so concerning. This is not some "economy" thing. Its first & foremost the possibility that our legal order is modified so the law of the land is defined by Elon Musk at Treasury www.nytimes.com/2025/02/01/u...

He’s pissing on the constitution right now and I just don’t get why you’re not screaming about it. Fuck the tariffs he’s eating the singular core power of your branch of government.

listen, we gotta live. we have to outlast them. we have to turn their graves into trans inclusive toilets.

HERE SHE IS. NOT THE HERO WE DESERVE

what people don't want to hear is that the insurance companies are the good guys in this situation. "they canceled my fire insurance! then my house burned down!" yeah girl. there was a reason they canceled your insurance. in the business we call this "a warning sign"

Strongly agree. Or even a vision of utopia! The opposite of doom! What does success, and a bright future look like?

What the fuck is this

I’m really begging y’all, for once, trust the social scientist. For your own mental health, for the good of the community as a whole, please please please do not use this. This is going to accelerate toxicity and strengthen the power of list weaponization. Just don’t. Please. (reskeet plz)

Guy I’m getting worried about the abyss. It keeps staring at me kind of funny it’s mumbling shit about liz cheney and alien drones

some of y'all need to fill out an apology form to the indomitable human desire for freedom

A person on a bicycle is by far the most energy-efficient among animals and machines per distance traveled relative to body weight. The bicycle is magic. www.jstor.org/stable/24923...
