Cool post on biking kids to school and the importance of safe infrastructure from @bromptonymous.ca.

With CBC now having called all ridings it's time for the land-vs-people-vote animation.

I posted about this idea about weeks ago. I'm not as unique as I like to think I am :-) www.roadandtrack.com/news/a645894...

I have a few committees that bring me into Victoria from Langford. I love using the bike valet with @victoria.ca & @capitalbike.ca. It’s great because it’s secure parking for free, I avoid dealing with parking and traffic and the trail system is super user friendly. This is why my car stays at home.

Another tough day at Spinnaker's upstairs patio in #VictoriaBC!

More frequent buses means more ridership. "there is no such thing as tailoring service to demand — demand is not fixed. The phenomenon of induced demand is as real for transit as it is for highways: If you provide a more attractive service, more people will use it. #transit #urbanism

OCP misinformation is growing. It's showing up on email, the newspaper opinion page, and of course "X" (Twitter) and Facebook Local. I encourage people to ignore the ALL CAPS RAGE, and to consult the FAQ page for real information: engage.victoria.ca/ocp/widgets/.... #yyj #VictoriaBC #urbanism

This is a nice summary of the importance of building cycling networks and why it's often necessary to build protected bike lanes on arterials. #urbanism #safestreets www.bloomberg.com/news/article...
