Johnson is a smarmy f**k. In fact, I think "smarmy" was coined just for him.

"Dealing with it head on" !!?? The cost in lives, resources, and damage to an already screwed up Europe is unknown so you statement makes no sense. Going into a war with the USSR as nukes were being developed could have had decades long consequences. It's madness to consider such a war as Ike knew.

The graphic in your post said, "wars fought". ... Yep, both parties have supported dictators. You got that right. But leadership is a very broad canvas, and in many other areas the parties are way different.

Are our wars really fought to prop up dictators?
Rev. War - no
War of 1812 - no
Sp./Amer. War - no
Civil War - no
WW1 - no
WW2 - no
Kor. War - no
Viet. War - yes/unresolved
Gulf War 1 - yes (really oil)
Gulf War 2 - no (got messy)
Afghan War - no/ unresolved
Looks like the "no's" have it.

Patton was a hammer, so everything looked like a nail to him. There was no plan that wouldn't have turned into a bloodbath as WW2 morphed into WW3. The Soviet army was huge and very experienced by 1945. Bad idea.

So the USA was supposed to fight the Nazis AND the USSR. Yeah, sure, that would have gone well.

Yes, yes, but it ain't happening. Makes more sense to promote democratic candidates for 2026. Then it might be possible.

Pictures need to be taken of these ICE gestapo guys. Faces, badges, any identifying item. They are ruining people's lives. No violence directed at them, but they need to be known. This is very personal for their victims; it needs to be personal for them as well.
