A friend who lives 45 minutes away sent me a text that made me drop everything. A varied thrush in her yard! These guys don't usually stray very far east of the Rockies, and I'd never seen one (though I'd heard one in Waterton Lakes NP). He didn't hold still long, but it was worth the drive! 🪶🌿
