Gavin Newsom? The podcaster? Are you sure we are talking about the same guy?

Also, the mic in the picture is an SM7B released in 2001, Michael Jackson used an SM7. They look similar, but are different mics.

When we critique trumps actions people need to be (at the very least) truthful and accurate. You can say VOA should continue to exist because it is a core part of US soft power and that it helps create good will internationally. You can't say that it's something that it's not.

I'm not saying Trump is better than the democrats, but Voice of America has operated as a propaganda arm of the US government since its inception. That's why it exists. To pretend it is some kind of unbiased new organization is ahistorical.

She is hindering the new york state dems from stopping the republicans from filling Elise Stefaniks seat in the house. The excuse being that she wants to negotiate with trump on congestion pricing, a policy she tried to torpedo. She has no spine and isn’t standing up to anyone.

I am in the music industry, and it does happen specifically to something called publishing royalties which is 50% of gross royalties. Songwriting royalties bypass the label and go directly to the songwriters. If a songwriter was an employee of a label, songwriting credits would be owned by label.

record companies owned all the rights to the music, and never had to pay royalties. They could just fire artists, continue to sell their music and never pay the artist another dime. If you didn't want to tour, you could be fired, ect. ect.

No, artists/song writers should not be employees of the labels. We tried this system from the 1940s-1960s and it was terrible for musicians and music as a whole.

I’ve been a restaurant accountant for over a decade and servers do pay federal taxes on tips. Also employers have to pay taxes on those tips as well. I’ve never seen tip rates drop (they have actually increased) with changes in server pay. I hate trump, but this is a good policy.

This is the argument the National Restaurant Association uses against every minimum wage increase and it has never been true. People (on average) don’t think that hard when they are signing a credit card receipt.

Her whole philosophy of "just asking" was always transparently narcissistic to the point of being sociopathic. She was always trying to get away with not paying people. She felt that just being in her presence or "exposure" was payment enough for their labor.

They have a 5 year term, Xi is the first president to serve more than two terms since Mao. They do not have an offical “president for life” he could be removed by the central committee in 2027, though its unlikely.

John Stanier is one of my favorite drummers and Duane Denison is one of my favorite guitarists. On paper it is 100% “my shit.” The riffs and the grooves are incredible but then MP has to do “his thing” over the top of it, which I absolutely despise.
