Musk’s staffers fanned out across several agencies today, sending representatives to the Atlanta headquarters of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and meeting with the Labor Department to seek access to sensitive data.

We can confirm that the communication ban at CDC (and presumably all of HHS) has been extended for at least another week with no specified end date. No external communication with local, state, or territorial health departments, healthcare systems, or the public. In the setting of ongoing outbreaks.

We are hearing from CDC sources that the communication pause has been indefinitely extended. Communication is KEY to public health. In addition to not being able to share information with the public, there is no communication with state and local officials, who are vital public health partners.

@northernrail.bsky.social Is this the official company account? At 0951 I watched train crew (at Macclesfield Station) fail to enable at man in a wheelchair board the train. Seemingly a problem with the ramp. A politely shrugged apology and the man couldn't board. It's not good enough.

Macclesfield Station... a chap in a wheelchair waiting to board the train. The ramp seemingly can't be manoeuvred into place/can't be attached so the man and his friend cannot board. A polite shrug from staff and an invitation into the station. It's not good enough.

Consumer choice is influenced by industry lobbying, marketing & other tactics. To build a healthier society, we need to ⬇️levels of harmful consumption. To do this, we need to rethink how businesses are engaged in policy making where there are clear conflicts of interest.

You love to see it.

Good morning from today's snowy walk in the park. Walking in a slightly winter wonderland.

Cracking read.

If (what I laughingly refer to as) memory serves... affluent areas tend to have greater provision of green and blue spaces than poorer areas. #Inequalities Great article.

We're disappointed by the Milieudefensie vs Shell ruling this morning in the Netherlands. However, the court agreed with the central argument that companies share a responsibility to reduce emissions. This is a huge shift of the dial towards corporate responsibility 👍 www.dw.com/en/shell-win...

Good morning.
