Not original. Pol Pot had this idea first. (I live in West Virginia, btw, and there are very few coal jobs here.)

She deserves that for shooting her dog.

Um, tell me you didn’t read the New Yorker article without telling me you didn’t read the New Yorker article.
comment in response to post
And how am I doing that? Idiot. This article was written by an agnostic by women on death row in Texas. It’s nothing to do with what you’re ranting about.
comment in response to post
Maybe next time comment on an article you’ve read rather than one you know absolutely nothing about what it was about.
comment in response to post
Your first sentence is correct but that’s not what the article is about. The rest of what you write is bs.
comment in response to post
Well, if you couldn’t read the article, why did you feel qualified to comment on it?
comment in response to post
Maybe you should read the article
comment in response to post
Yup, tell. Maybe read the article for some compassion and humanity.

This was an amazing, moving, thought provoking piece.

Rand Paul is finally good for something!

Actually as a Christian that’s not a phrase I have heard people use. There are parables about Jesus as a shepherd seeking the lost sheep. That’s the general Christian understanding.
comment in response to post
Well, no, not every Christian ever. Intelligent educated Christians have a better understanding than this of how to read the Bible.

Apple. Everything works together. Only criticism they need to bring back the iPhone Mini. Large phones discriminate against women. They don’t fit our pockets.

Also lied about being Appalachian. He’s not.

No, made a horrible mistake in blocking Bernie’s road to the nomination.

Everyone who goes to church pays taxes. My church is not a business. It sacrifices greatly to give to the community. If you tax us you take away from our efforts to help the poor. Now, stop calling yourself a Christian. I know, it’s satire. But have some decency, spew your ignorance honestly.

Sorry, this is just goofy and gets us nowhere except making us look as stupid as the Trump cult.

Remember that this guy dated Kimberly Guilfoyle. Not the best judgment apparently.

I’m 73. My mom and I were very close, she was my best friend. But she never played with me, and I would have thought it was weird if she wanted to. She sent us outside and we came home for supper.

That’s uncalled for. I know plenty of emotionally mature gay people.

I am sick of this stupid debate. I have night blindness and I just got my life back today until November. DST should be all year but if it’s not, just go to bed one hour early for a day or two, ffs people.

And because Defense spends out the wazoo.
comment in response to post
And that would be only one church.
comment in response to post
You seem to think churches are like businesses. They’re not. They’re individuals. And you want double taxation for people who go to church.
comment in response to post
As I pointed out, the people in the churches are already paying taxes. Why should they pay twice?
comment in response to post
They’re probably doing more than you know they are doing. And the main reason they were made tax exempt in the first place is that if they weren’t doing those things the government would have to step in and do them and it actually saves the government money to let the churches do them.
comment in response to post
So which charitable ministry would you cut so the church can afford to hire a tax accountant ?
comment in response to post
“the way he behaved???” You mean, like a man?
comment in response to post
All parishioners disclose and pay taxes. All ordained ministers disclose and pay taxes. No different from anyone else.
comment in response to post
It’s always been a thing.
comment in response to post
You’re talking about 1% of churches.
comment in response to post
Same holds true. The Catholic and Mormon churches here are small and definitely not rich. Sure, the Vatican has wealth but since it ain’t here in America, good luck with that.
comment in response to post
Contrary to what you believe, the vast majority of churches are not wealthy mega churches with jet setting pastors, they are small congregations that can barely keep the doors open, but still manage to do charitable work in their communities. Tax the billionaires and leave the churches alone.
