My HVAC guy is amazing. His company does excellent work as well; replaced our furnace this year because ours finally died.

😂 Clearly diversity on university faculty should be a priority then. Not all of us give a shit about being stuffy academics and talking to other stuffy academics. Some of us come from poor families and do our work specifically for working class folks.

REU = Research Experience for Undergraduates. It's a program where undergrads do scientific research with a faculty advisor and a small peer cohort. I know a bunch of people who've done one as undergrads, and it was formative for all of them. *screams in outrage*
